Loveddddd this combo from tonight! It was so nice to do something chill and light hearted in the midst of this fall chaos. This contemp/jazz combo class has been so fun and refreshing to teach each week. Kids are requesting songs and I’ve been choreographing to music I’ve always loved but haven’t had the chance to use. Food for the soul!! 🥰

A little clip from our emotional final Tuesday night with my seniors! And this weekend- their last recital. I loved getting to work with these kids for the last 3 years. Shoutout to 2 of my lovely seniors @niolamcnamara and @ellagerrish for putting your whole heart into this combo for our last night together. Feeling grateful 🩷

I’m realizing that I haven’t posted on here in over a year. I have so many videos of combos sitting in my camera roll that I have yet to post because I’ve been so critical of them. I’ve decided that I’m going back to the reason I started this account in the first place- to share all of my choreography that I’ve been doing, to be proud of the hard work I’ve done as a teacher and as someone who’s continuing to take class and push themself, and to recognize that dancing after college is hard and that it’s okay to not look the same way you did in in your prime. I’ve been so afraid of people judging or critiquing while watching that I just stopped posting completely. So I’ve decided that I’m going to start posting all of my old combos that never made it on here regardless of how imperfect I feel they are because I’m still proud of the choreography I’ve done and I want to encourage myself to keep taking class and working hard. Thanks for the love ❤️ by @emurraydance

That’s a wrap for Brooks Dance Center 23/24 year! I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to work with such amazing students and faculty. I was able to work with a huge variety of students from 4-7 year old recreational dancers, to 13-18 year old competition dancers, as well as numerous solos/duos/and trios for the competition year. I loved getting to see these kids every week and I’m lucky I got to create amazing things with them. They work so hard and each have them has grown so much in just a year. They finished their year with an amazing recital and I hope they are feeling so proud of themselves. I wish the seniors the best of luck in their next adventure and I love them so very much! Here’s some pics from the year. Can’t wait to get back to it in the fall! by @emurraydance
