August!

Started with Fantasy in the Greenwood (the incredible hat made by the most talented bean @thesarahhart ), followed by Fables in the follies for @bookish.and.brash, managed a trip to Spain and getting to see mums raspberry jam getting first place in the local faire whilst also somehow winning the veg box in the raffle 😅

All whilst moving in, making the flat my own and discovering more about myself and learning how to use a washing machine that comes with an app 😅

July, what an absolutely INSANE month…

Seeing Don Broco and Biffy Clyro live
Volunteering with the Friends of St Denys
Going back to Oxford and seeing friends i haven’t seen since uni!
Being part of the media team at Fantasy Forest!
Welcoming a new starter at work who, within the first day, already felt like the perfect fit for the team
Client visits
Picking up old hobbies
And BUYING A FLIPPING FLAT!!! (Oh, and then actually moving into it as well 😅)

I genuinely don’t think I stopped for the entire month, but what a month it’s been.

I’m so incredibly lucky to have some truly amazing people around me. I couldn’t do any of this without you all, including a lot of people I didn’t even manage to see this month!

What losing 7 stone looks like on a 5’11 frame ❤️

No surgery. No secret. No overnight transformation. Just hundreds of small choices that slowly added up over time.

Some days I barely noticed a difference… until I looked back at where I started.

If you’re at the beginning of your own journey, keep going. You might be changing more than you realise 🫶

Last Saturday I took on Trek26 Eryri ⛰️

Safe to say my watch and the official route slightly disagreed on what counts as 26 miles because it tracked over 27 😅

Honestly one of the hardest but most rewarding things I’ve ever done. I signed up for Alzheimer’s Society because Alzheimer’s has affected my family for years, so crossing that finish line meant a lot more to me than just the miles 🤍

I’m also currently at £1196 raised, which genuinely blows my mind. Thank you so much to everyone who’s donated, shared the fundraiser or supported me along the way, it’s meant the world 💙

27 today 🤟🏻

This year somehow involved:
changing jobs,
travelling,
freelancing,
being diagnosed with ADHD and finally understanding my brain a little more,
losing 7 stone naturally,
training for a 26 mile hike for charity (this weekend by the way 👀),
and starting the process of buying my first flat.

Honestly, 26 was a lot bigger than I ever expected it to be.

There were some incredible highs, some moments that completely overwhelmed me and a lot of change all at once, but I think this is the first year I’ve properly realised how important it is to slow down and actually be proud of yourself sometimes.

I’m still figuring things out.
Still overthinking absolutely everything.
Still trying to learn what balance looks like.

But I’m also happier, more confident and more myself than I’ve been in a long time.
