// Happy birthday to my favorite human patatino.

Another year of you, and another year of me slowly accepting that I am, in fact, the third wheel in my own relationship… because somewhere along the way, Chloe completely stole my boyfriend. 😂

And honestly, watching the two of you together is one of my favorite things in the world. The way you love her, spoil her, cuddle her, talk to her like she’s a tiny human, and somehow always make room for her between us… even when she very clearly has no intention of sharing you with me. 🐶🤍

I think these pictures explain our little family pretty perfectly: you loving Chloe, Chloe obsessing over you, and me occasionally receiving beautiful bouquets as reassurance that I haven’t been completely replaced. 😂

Jokes aside, the flowers say a lot about you too. You’re the kind of man who shows up with them just because. Who makes ordinary days feel special. Who loves deeply, gives generously, and has the softest heart underneath it all.

I love the life we’re building, the adventures, the chaos, the ridiculous moments, the quiet ones, and this little family of ours that somehow became my favorite place to be.

Happy birthday, my love.

// I thought Iceland would be about the landscapes, the kilometres, the cold, and how far I could push myself.

But looking back, it was always about the people. 🤍

The people who started this journey as colleagues and somehow, somewhere between the long days, the freezing wind, the exhaustion, the laughter, the pain and the endless walking, became family.

We shared the same purpose, the same values, the same struggles. When one person was tired, someone else carried the energy. When someone was hurting, there was always a hand, a word, a laugh, or simply someone walking beside them.

There stopped being an “I” somewhere along the way. We moved as one.

And we were lucky enough to be led by people who reminded us what real leadership looks like: walking beside everyone, making sure nobody was left behind. Leading by example, always.

I’ll remember Iceland for the wild landscapes and for pushing my body further than I thought I could.

But more than anything, I’ll remember these people.

The ones who were there when it was beautiful, when it hurt, when we laughed until we couldn’t breathe, and when we had nothing left except each other.

We came here as a group.

We left as something that feels a lot like family. 🇮🇸🤍
