Vanlife lesson: it’s always nice to slow down to get to know a place. We’ve traveled to so many places and sometimes you get so caught up in the moving bit that you forget to slow down.

It’s amazing how much fun you can pack into a week!
Here are some of the highlights:
🧙‍♀️finally did an escape room and honestly, it was a lot more fun than I thought it would be!
⛰️looked at some gorgeous mountains while escaping the wildfire smoke.
🌲Walked around the bluest lake I’ve ever seen!
☕️Discovered our new favorite beverage, a dirty chi
🎨explored the local art scene and get inspired to create more of my own!

Never thought that living in a van would change my weekly schedule so much!

Day 7 of over sharing from my camera roll so I don’t take for granted how wonderful living on the road can be 😄

We love living in our van, but sometimes decision fatigue sets in and you just want something easy.

Sometimes fuel prices skyrocket and we have to change our plans.

Sometimes it’s s high season and the places we want to explore are just way too crowded.

But also, there are those days that the get to wake up to the most gorgeous views! Days when we get to spend weeks at a location and we don’t not need to pay outrageous prices for a hotel room. Days when getting to bring our home with us will be remembered as one of the coolest things we could have chosen to do in our 40’s!

It’s definitely not for everyone, but we love it!

Adulting is one of the wildest things. Like, I can choose to go outside and play anytime?!? Challenge accepted.

We bought a van, saved some money to pay for the fuel and to feed ourselves (and of course to cover all the other adult fees) and now we’re off doing dope things…like jumping off mountains and hiking to waterfalls.

You have the choice to make your 16 year old self proud ✨🪂🚐✌️make them proud!

When we decided to move into our van we didn’t really know what to expect. Well we did, but not really.

Turns out, being in nature is a whole lot more fun than doom scrolling. Yes there are mosquitoes and wild fires, and bears… but there’s also gorgeous lakes, mountains, and green things!

So we’re going to try sharing what we see for the next 30 days to try to convince our peers to spend more time off their screens and in nature!

This is why we practice ground handling! Launching with an audience is always a little stressful, but sometimes you have to lock in and make it happen. The wind went cross right as the wing came up, but I was able to keep it overhead and launch safely. Practice make progress! @airdesign_gliders loving the Soar 2!!

We’re making our way up through Canada for a paragliding event and we have been greeted by smoky skies, slow going slugs, tons of gray skies, and a touch of rain and couldn’t be happier!

This is vanlife and we’ll gladly embrace all of the elements that Mother Nature has thrown at us.
