Introducing 🍓Kinestasis | Directors Cut: Strawberry Fields 2026 Launch

This year we wanted to get closer to the concept of form in the moving image. What better way to feature the unique concept of Kinestasis throughout our micro adventure, hopefully triggering a sensory memory for all of those who attended last year.

You’re 10 metres deep in a crowd, sweaty backs surround you, you look up at a screen the size of a building, and we only have 15s to make you thirsty 💦

Client: @baxtervodka 🏝️🧊

Baxter Vodka is sponsoring a bunch of festivals this year, so they asked us to create a 3D animation to play on the giant LED screens between acts. And an always on loop for their website. The thing needs to travel and convince people to go to the bar.

So how do you stand out when everyone’s standing in the same fridge? The answer is the feeling.

When you’re dying of thirst, waiting for the next artist to come on stage, maybe centimetres away from a sweaty back, you look up and you have one moment to convince someone they need a refreshing drink.

This is our version of your ice cold utopia. 🏝️ 🧊

Even if we get a hint of that from your subconscious, then the work’s actually working.

Despite all odds 🌧️ @mundimundibash was so much fun. We met some of the most wholesome people you will ever cross paths with out in Broken Hill. Thanks to the whole team for having us!

3 days in 60 seconds. #kinestasis   Strawberry Fields Festival’ 2026 aftermovie pushes the festival recap into a more abstract visual space.

Captured by Josef Gatti, the film uses Kinestasis Stopmotion as a rhythm sitting inside the footage of the festival itself. Architecture, trees, dust, bodies, signage, art, light and fragments of the site are cut into patterns, turning the physical world of Strawberry into something more hypnotic.

Kinestasis lives somewhere between hyperlapse, match cuts and stop motion. It takes still frames and pulls them into motion, finding visual connections where the eye usually sees noise.

It’s gruelling technique that requires creativity, focus and long days by yourself.

For @strawberryfields_festival, the technique fits naturally. The festival has always been about connection, discovery and escape. This approach lets the aftermovie reveal the hidden geometry underneath it all: the way people move, the way spaces repeat, the way memory edits itself after a weekend in the bush with music still stuck in your bones.
 Our take is a festival recap with a mild disregard for ordinary recap behaviour.
