🔊ENAR Foundation works on building a Systemically Inclusive Society to help racialised people thrive by boosting their social and financial opportunities in order to create systemic change and demonstrate how an inclusive and equitable society can function, because our society was designed to discriminate and disadvantage racialised groups.

🔊 ENAR Foundation works on strengthening the Anti-Racism Movement to help activists and grassroots organisations around Europe build their capacity in order to fight for the rights of racialised people, because marginalised communities need to be their own agents of change.

🔊 We work on Emerging Issues to help address new challenges faced by racialised communities by responding to their urgent and pertinent needs in a timely and relevant fashion, because most of other existing support frameworks lack the necessary agility and flexibility.

A 30% cut to funding for democracy, civil society and independent media?!

At ENAR Foundation, we are deeply concerned by the proposed cuts to the EU’s AgoraEU programme.

At a time when racial justice organisations are already struggling with shrinking funding and growing threats, Europe should be strengthening civil society, not weakening it.

Racialised communities are on the frontlines of climate change and environmental injustice.

Independent journalism is essential to exposing discrimination, challenging abuses of power and defending democracy.

And grassroots organisations need sustainable resources to protect rights and make their voices heard.

Democracy, racial justice, climate justice and media freedom are interconnected. We cannot afford to weaken any of them.

We call on EU leaders to reject these cuts and invest in a stronger, more inclusive and democratic Europe.

We published this reading list last summer. We're bringing it back, because the moment calls for it.

Nine books. Nine racialised authors from across Europe. Nine frameworks for understanding and dismantling racial inequality.

In a charged political environment where anti-racism work is increasingly contested, choosing to read, amplify, and fund racialised voices is an act of resistance. The SPARK Community members who wrote these books bring lived experience, community connection, and intellectual rigour to questions that institutions too often avoid.

Who’s really behind that viral DEI hot take?🤔 Before you believe it, check the source.👇🏾

It’s not enough to ask “is this true?” You have to ask: Who created it? Who’s funding it? Who benefits if you believe it?

A bad-faith politician. A corporate lobby. An algorithm built on outrage. Same claim can have a very different intention.

Swipe through our checklist and use it next time you see an anti-racism narrative spreading fast.☝🏽

The very serious function of racism is distraction.

When DEI is framed as a ‘ministry of truth’, asking for basic dignity at work is treated as policing thought, while structural inequality remains untouched.

Backlash doesn’t ‘disprove’ anti‑racism but flips reality to protect existing power. Language and framing matter all so deeply.

Same playbook across borders. 📋

Framing racial justice as “extreme”; dividing communities fighting for the same rights; casting anti-racism as the problem, not the solution.

This is how misinformation is being used to undermine DEI work in Europe, and racialised practitioners are on the frontlines of it every day.

Misinformation is often unintentional. Disinformation is deliberate, strategic and usually serves a political or commercial agenda.

Understanding the difference matters because it changes how we respond from gentle correction in some cases to organised resistance in others.

Save this to ground your next conversation about ‘fake news’ in something more precise.

Anti-racism and DEI work are facing a coordinated backlash across Europe. At the same time, racialised communities are still fighting for their basic rights, safety and dignity in workplaces and beyond.

This new series unpacks how misinformation is used to discredit anti-racism, fuel moral panic, isolate practitioners, and what we can do to resist it and protect our movements.
