so much to celebrate this week 🥹 On Tuesday, I took my 200th class at @halfmoonchicago. thank you to my teachers and friends there for everything you do. you are my sanctuary. 🙏🏽

On Friday, I proposed my dissertation and passed. I have been working on my studies around climate action for years and feel genuinely proud of the work I’m setting out to do. I’m excited to get my research started and finish this PhD strong. 🧠

And today, I ran my 4th Chicago Marathon. I didn’t train for this one as yoga has taken the front seat (and bc I h*te running). I was so nervous to even try. I dedicated each kilometer to a person in my life that helped me stay afloat the last 6 months, this allowed me to stay present when it got hard. I took it one step, one breath at a time, and the course flew by. I saw so many loved ones out there too, your cheers and hugs gave me wings. 🦋

after 21 jam-packed days in the Amazon rainforest, the lungs of our beautiful planet, I am a yoga teacher 🧘🏽🦋 this was the most transformative experience of my life. when faced with several big changes at once, I craved deeply to feel safe in my body and my mind, no matter my external circumstances. researching the psychology of climate change for the last 4 years did something to my sense of efficacy, too, and I needed to be reminded of why I chose this work. I’m leaving this training feeling courageous, content, hopeful, loved, and restored. I am forever grateful for every teacher, fellow student, animal, insect, mountain, waterfall etc that made this journey what it was. I am exactly where I’m supposed to be 🤍

tarapoto, peru - a little village in the high amazonas. staying alone in a cabin here tested my limits: the worlds largest flying cockroach under my bed, everything is damp and stays damp, and life, uh, finds a way [inside]. these are small inconveniences for the gifts of living, breathing, and sleeping in the jungle. i will never forget the pureness of the air, the sounds, especially at night, and the kind locals. onto the next place tomorrow morning 🧘🏽 taken in Tarapoto San Martin Perú by @enceladev
