Yesterday we collaborated with @joincollective.co for our next LeadHERship workshop! These workshops provide incredible purposes:

👉🏽 Empowering women
👉🏽 Supporting local women's businesses
👉🏽 Educating our women
👉🏽 Giving back to women's nonprofit organization

🎒 Our ambassador @justakrys taught about backpacking! Such as how to get started, how to pack the items, how to research and prepare to get started or continuing in our backpacking experiences!

🏃🏽‍♀️ Devena taught us about the scientific benefits to running, how to create a plan to begin running and proper nutrition!

👭 Kyla from @friendsomdp shared with us about how they work in the public lands and also they work with our community to help bring awareness to the benefits of the outdoors! They work on helping conserve our lands and so much more!

🌎 Ana from @mypubliclands spoke about their work in helping to converse, protect and provide more outdoor access to our community!

It’s so hard to put into words what these last few months have felt like, after losing the man who meant everything to our family 🕊️

Our beloved Abuelito - great-grandfather, and the heart behind Grounded Café - recently passed away

He wasn’t just the man who raised me like a father … he helped raise our kids too

He taught us love
He taught us patience
He taught us joy, positivity, hard work, humility, and so much kindness - the kind that lights up a room and never asks for anything in return

If you’ve ever been to Grounded… we know you’ve felt it ♥️

The way we serve, the way we welcome you in, the way we treat one another - it’s all because of him

“Todo Con Amor” isn’t just a phrase. It was the way he lived. And it’s the way we continue to run this business and our lives

He passed on his unwavering passion, beautiful heart full of pure joy, love and kindness. We are all so incredibly grateful that we get to experience the world through his eyes

Our familia, this café, this community, and this dream - It only exists because he believed in love above all else. Leaving his life in Mexico to give us a better future

And now, every coffee, every hello, every gathering held here is our way of saying:
