Long post alert 🚨

Whew 😅…bare with me on this one. For those that know me, know that I am a VERY private person! 🔐
You have to be in my inner circle to attempt to know the smallest details about me and my life…AND I love that for me!! 💕

However this one is DIFFERENT!! By trade, I’m in a leadership position, in which I have the amazing opportunity to lead over 50+ individuals..from high school seniors to Professional Teachers; and manage 250+ middle school students 🤯. I spend countless days, hours and weeks preparing for their arrival and to implement programming. Not only do I have the privilege to screen and hire EVERY SINGLE PERSON 🫣, I am tasked with ensuring the development of said persons.

This is no SMALL feat..it’s actually borderline insane if you ask me on a deeper level 😜. But this summer, was/has been a special one!! When I embarked in n this summer I set out to be intentional! Intentional with who I select to serve alongside me. Intentional in the way that I show up for each and everyone. Intentional about how I LED this amazing group of individuals!!

And while I have cried, smiled, laughed and screamed (inward of course) I must say that NOTHING could’ve prepared me to have experienced the joy and love that I did from my team! (Mind you that everyone of my professional teacher leaders are older than I am)

I just wanted to share some of the things that they shared with me..(during an unexpected farewell ceremony that they planned out for me) that let me know that not only am I a great leader but such an inspiration to others..for that I am truly humbled! 💫

I’m just here to remind every black girl, woman and in between..especially those from the “hood” like me..that YOU are needed, YOU are the change that the world needs..and YOU are appreciated 💫
