Where passion meets opportunity ❤️✨

Encore Theatrical Arts Project (ETAP) is a pre-professional performing arts company based in Chantilly, VA, training dedicated musical theatre dancers ages 10–18. Founded by award-winning director and choreographer Raynor van der Merwe, ETAP has been training dancers for over 30 years, building artists ready to step into a professional standard.

With 14 hours of weekly technique classes in dance, plus training in singing and acting, alongside rehearsals and performance opportunities, our performers develop the versatility, discipline, and real-world experience needed to succeed in today’s industry.

Our alumni have gone on to Broadway, the Radio City Rockettes, National Tours, regional theaters, and cruise ships worldwide. Most recently, ETAP toured Ireland in 2025 — continuing to give our performers opportunities that extend far beyond the studio.

ETAP is for dancers who want more — and are ready to work for it. taken in Encore Performers by @encore_tap
