Another successful evening full of good energy and the spirit of sharing took place on the second of this year’s ENCUENTRO.

The afternoon conference reflected on important issues in Performance Art and addressed much needed dialogue regarding contemporary approaches to its form, context and delivery.

The evening provided new audiences with a taste of different modalities of approaching Performance Art from text based work to movement and voice integration in the form.

Thanks to all presenting and participating artists and new audiences !

The 4th ENCUENTRO LATINOAMERICANO PERFORMANCE ART BERLIN starts today !

After months of preparations, a selection process and the coordination of hosting venues, the ENCUENTRO 2026 will be launched today in the city of Berlin. The international program counts with the presence of 15 Latin American artists residing in various European city centers who will present new works and approaches in Performance Art.

The project ENCUENTRO is organized, curated, and directed by artist and cultural producer, Hector Canonge, who has invited artists to reflect on the current state of Europe regarding migration, cultural integration, and the construction of identities. The 2026 program premieres at GALERIA LUNASOL (Schierker Straße 35, 12051 Berlin) with the participation of the following artists:

4to ENCUENTRO LATINOAMERICANO DE PERFORMANCE ART BERLÍN

Un llamado abierto para artistas de la diáspora latinoamericana viviendo en Europa.

💡ENCUENTRO 2026 invita a artistas a reflexionar sobre el presente estado de Europa en relación con la integración cultural, la migración y la identidad. Los artistas interesados deberán enviar sus propuestas para consideración en el programa. El programa consta de performances en vivo, video performances, intervenciones públicas, talleres y conversatorios.

⏰ Convocatoria abierta hasta el 15 de julio.

📆 El ENCUENTRO se llevará a cabo en la ciudad de Berlín del 22 al 26 de Julio del 2026.

📍Galería Lunasol (sede del festival), y dos espacios de la organizacion, Karne Kunst: Bardo Projektraum y Ponyhof en Reinickendorf.

El proyecto liderado por el artista HECTOR CANONGE, tiene como objetivo continuar el fortalecimiento de diversas modalidades del performance art latinoamericano en Europa y forjar nuevos nexos para la creación de una comunidad del performance más visible en el continente. Más que un festival, esta iniciativa independiente es una gran reunión para compartir, dialogar, y fomentar coyunturas colaborativas entre artistas del performance provenientes de latinoamérica que viven en varios países europeos.
