🎺 This Falconaires Friday, we’re spotlighting a special collaboration with trumpeter and composer Shane Endsley at Acacia Park!

A founding member of the Grammy-nominated group Kneebody, Shane brings an inventive voice to contemporary jazz, blending jazz, rock, and adventurous improvisation. The Falconaires performed arrangements of his original tunes—with Shane himself joining the ensemble on trumpet! Having the composer on stage made this an especially memorable opportunity to explore his music together.

The performance was part of the Downtown Summer Music Series, presented by Dizzy Charlie’s in partnership with the Downtown Creative District. We were proud to join this celebration of live music in the heart of Colorado Springs, connecting with our neighbors and sharing the musicianship of the Airmen who call this community home.

Thank you to Shane for sharing his artistry, to the series organizers for bringing our community together, and to everyone who joined us for an evening of jazz at Acacia Park! 🇺🇸

You’ve heard him on the big stages.
This is where it all started.

Dominic Lalli, known to millions as the saxophone force behind Big Gigantic, returns to the foundation of his sound with the Bluebird Quintet.

Before the festivals and electronic sets, Lalli built his voice in New York, studying with legends like Bob Mintzer, Dave Liebman, and Kenny Barron.

This performance brings that side of his artistry forward.

Live. Acoustic. Unfiltered.

Backed by an all-star band, this group brings together some of the most respected and in-demand musicians in the scene today.

Featuring:
@endsleyshane — trumpet
@_peterjohnstoltzmanmusic_ -piano
@hunterstevenr — bass
@obedcalvaire — drums

Individually, they’ve worked across jazz, touring acts, and major stages. Together, they form a unit built for interplay, improvisation, and energy in the room.

Music from his Bluebird Quintet project, including selections from A Blind Man’s Blue, showcases a different kind of intensity, built on improvisation, tone, and deep musical interplay.

This is not a DJ set.
Not a crossover moment.
This is the source.

A sound that pulls from jazz, funk, and hip-hop, delivered through one of the most recognizable saxophone voices in modern music.

“. . . a warm mix of lyricism, harmonic density, solid time, and the blues.” — All About Jazz

Whether you’ve followed his rise in electronic music or you’re here for the musicianship, this is a rare chance to hear the full scope of what he does.

If you know @biggigantic this is the side you haven’t seen live.
