Sharing my story 💕

Moving to Europe has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, but it also came with many consequences. Having only an au pair visa meant I couldn’t go home when my mom was in the hospital. It was either I went home and never came back, or I stayed and risked never seeing my mom again. That fear crept inside me.

But my mom is a fighter. She told me she would be okay and encouraged me to continue, so I pushed myself to become a student here in France.

Now, with my student visa, I’m so happy because I finally have the chance to book a flight to see my mom. I’m beyond excited! 💖✈️

Battle well fought, Nanay. 🤍

My mom battled lymphoma, and even after she overcame it, it returned and spread to her bone marrow.

To everyone who has beaten cancer, I have nothing but the deepest respect for your strength and courage. And to those who are still fighting, know that you are not alone. I’m praying for your healing, your remission, and brighter days ahead.

To my Nanay, thank you for fighting so bravely. It was a battle well fought. We love you always and forever. 🤍 by @engieest
