It’s been a year and three days since you passed and I long for you every day ,the phone call,the words,the cards ,holding your hand ,hugs,the daily mail quotes . I have heard so many stories from other people in the last year ,about the kind of friend you were to them and the small and big gestures you made for them . So many things you did and never mentioned because you had a quiet kindness and never sought the recognition for such things. It’s been hard to see dad loose his love of 54years .I’ve been mostly numb the last year ,unable to access what I have pushed down into some deep place for fear of cracking wide open. Grief is so strange sometimes a beast and some days a shadow with you that you only catch in moments . I love you and miss you mom and feel you all around me by @englishroze

Last night this sweet angel ,my mom Janet passed away . This year has been brutal watching her slipping away and I feel untethered. Janet was so kind and gentle ,super generous and loving . She had so many friends ,life long true blue friends. She touched so many people and lit up a room .
She grew up in England ,worked for the British film institute ,lived in France and then came to the US in 1968 to work for Pan Am . She met my dad and they have had the most beautiful love affair for 54 years . She travels all over the world she was so adventurous and smart and supportive . She was game for anything ,would hope on a plane across the world with a minutes notice or drive down to la in the pouring rain to be with Eadie or me . She was simply the best . She was an amazing mother to Michael and I and Nicolas for a short time . An amazing wife ,sister daughter ,grandmother and friend . My sense of loss is immeasurable by @englishroze
