Travel Day! 🇳🇬🇨🇮

In a country where French is the dominant language, navigating the streets and roads of Abidjan without speaking French was definitely an experience! 😂

Hi, my name is Eniitan, a master’s student who is also a travel curator for @enjoylifetrips recently travelled from Nigeria to Ivory Coast to tick a country this year and see the beauty of Abidjan.

And just when I thought “Nigerians are the only ones who know how to spot a newcomer and increase the price”… Ivory Coast said, “Hold my drink!” 😂🇨🇮 The taxi drivers didn’t come to play all along. You can’t speak French, so they know and recognize a new comer.😂

The moment they realized you were new in town, suddenly the price had a little “international visitor” adjustment. 😅 But hey, experience is the best teacher—and as a travel curator, getting lost, figuring things out, negotiating prices, and finding your way around a new country is all part of the adventure! 😂❤️

If anyone ever told me, I could travel by road for 30 hours, maybe I would have rejected such in my life but it happened and I literally enjoyed every bit of the trip. It was slow but worth the trip especially the night views on the road. It was heaven!

Sometimes, the best travel stories are the ones that didn’t go exactly as planned cause it only took me a month to get all together and I moved to tick a new city, country.🥂🌍✨

SECOND DEGREE BAGGED🧑‍🎓📚

2nd Chronicles 15 vs 7!
So many hidden tears,
So many untold stories,

But all in all,
I came, saw and conquered!
I am thankful to God almighty.
