It’s been a minute since I’ve introduced myself to the new faces here! 👋

I’m Susan Light, Founder and CEO of Enlightened Pet Behavior, Inc. I’m a multi-certified trainer, behavior consultant, and your resident cat expert here in Los Angeles. 🐈‍⬛✨

Why "Enlightened"? It’s more than just a play on my last name. It represents a shift away from the "old school" methods of force and intimidation.

The truth: Modern science shows us that those methods only fuel fear and anxiety. We can do better! I’m here to show you that effective training is built on kindness, not fear.

You don't necessarily need a scale to watch their weight! Learn about Body Condition Scoring. You want to see their waist from above and the side and be able to feel their ribs!
