Couldn’t include all screenshots in this post but I can send them upon request. If you want to help in some way there’s a lot of organizations I’ve shared that do need the help in regards to legal fees, food and clothing donations, medical volunteers, volunteering to check on people, etc. This is what I learned from the Keep ICE out the 209 meeting;

They said it’s a legal desert up here to help get attorneys for people who are captured out here, some attorneys are predatory and take advantage. They’re saying there isn’t a big ICE presence/enforcement here but they still do pick people up that are still easy targets for them. There’s 8-12 ICE agents operating between San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Merced, Tuolumne, and Caleveras counties. They’re not doing random pickups here. The sheriffs are helping out with enforcement, they’re talking about ones that wear brown vests who do help ICE, not sure which sheriff department wears those, but Stanislaus Sherieff doesn’t. All the good Judges that were helpful are gone out of the system even the bad ones bc they weren’t bad enough. The govenor rejected 3 bills that help immigrants but a organization from Merced keeps trying to push the bill.

Stanislaus sheriff doesn’t really help ICE, but do help in some ways related to the trust act and enforcing local and state laws. Local PD (Modesto & Ceres) doesn’t help them bc it is not there concern and have other priorities to focus on. San Joaquin county kinda does help since they got a ICE office there. Merced county sheriff does encourage ICE to do operations in their county. That sheriff dreams of doing what they’re doing in Arizona.

It is too unreal that you’re gone so sudden. Every morning I’m looking at the memes/shitposts you share that would make me laugh or relate. I’m finding a bunch that I know you’d get a good laugh out of too, but it sucks that I can’t even make you laugh or smile anymore when I share them with you. Our worlds were just starting to collide more with Miatas and Toyota war trucks! Idk shit about cars, but you still welcomed me in your home and presence accepting me being the person I am, I’m so happy and appreciate that we got to step into each other’s worlds. I feel like I’ve just been waiting for you to pull up to your house or to the car meet while we had the things you’d love waiting for you to enjoy when you show up. We still here for your family and cars pushing the vision that you wanted with them.
