Behind every homecoming celebration is a team dedicated to bringing Greyhounds together! 🐾

Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement, Zoe Winfield (BA 24) is an ENMU alumna, and she knows first-hand what it means to bring Greyhounds together. Director of Alumni Engagement, Tanya Ridpath’s grandparents were Eastern alumni, and she found her way home. Together, they work to keep the Greyhound spirit alive by creating opportunities for alumni, students, and the ENMU community to reconnect and gather.

For Zoe, the homecoming spirit is one of her favorite parts of the job, “As a past Homecoming Queen, this time of year always holds a special place in my heart."

And Tanya believes that “The greatest resource alumni can give is their time to help today's students become tomorrow's leaders."

Make sure to visit these two at all alumni events happening this weekend at homecoming, and check out these upcoming alumni opportunities:

📌The Alumni Association Board is recruiting volunteers. The deadline to submit is October 31, 2026

📌Assist students with career preparedness. Alumni Engagement is launching Top Dawg Academy in February!

📌Student Government Association 60th anniversary Reunion. If you were involved in SGA during your time at ENMU, let the Alumni Engagement team know and save the date for March 20, 2027.

📌Start an ENMU Alumni network in your hometown! Tanya and Zoe are looking for volunteers who can help host regional events!

For the Eastern New Mexico University’s alumni engagement team, Homecoming is about celebrating the connections, traditions, and generations that make ENMU feel like home.

Happy Homecoming, Greyhounds! 💚🩶 by @enmu

When a Greyhound’s ROO gets amplified, dreams take flight! 💚🐾

Emily Arias's (BS’ 27) ROO is a passion for birds, biology, and becoming a veterinarian.

At ENMU, that passion has grown into an opportunity to share her research on Avian Malaria at conferences and educate community at the Gennaro Natural History Museum. With the support of faculty and our Greyhound community, Emily can pursue more opportunities that center her ROO and lead her towards her goals.

With every research project, every conference, and every new experience, her ROO gets a little louder, reaching a little farther, getting her to the future she dreams of.

Thank ROO for amplifying the next generation of Greyhound dreams! #TogetherWeSucceed

Protecting the future starts with what we do together today. 💚🐾

At ENMU, Sebastian Summo-Elias (MS ’26) is turning his passion for wildlife into meaningful conservation research. Working alongside Dr. Drew Davis, he is studying New Mexico’s threatened Western Ribbon Snake to better understand how to protect the species for generations to come.

His work is a powerful reminder of what happens when students have the mentorship, resources, and opportunities to pursue their passions. Stories like Sebastian’s are possible because of a community that believes in student success. From faculty who inspire discovery to donors who invest in opportunity, every connection helps create a stronger future.

At ENMU, student success extends far beyond today’s achievements. It’s measured not only by what Greyhounds accomplish now, but by what they make possible for the communities and generations that follow. This Giving Roosday, Together We Succeed by investing in the next generation of Greyhound researchers, innovators, and changemakers whose discoveries create lasting impact for New Mexico and beyond.

Step into a world of color and texture! 🎨🧵 Runnels Gallery presents Fish, Faces, and Figures: Stitching in a Series, featuring fiber and soft sculpture by artist Linda Anderle. Her playful work uses needle and thread the way a painter uses a brush, and her message is simple: "Be more colorful, humorous, and unexpected."

This is what happens when Greyhounds Take Care of Their Own - IMPACT. 🐾💚
Your gift is more than support. It is belonging. It is hope. It is a Greyhound knowing their community is behind them.

Thanks to our generous donors, the Greyhound Resource Closet has a bigger, more welcoming space with more nutritious food and resources for students who need them.

Thank ROO for taking care of your fellow Greyhounds! #TogetherWeSucceed

Summer is over, but green and silver reign forever!

This summer, our Greyhounds came together for days filled with connecting, celebrating, fundraising, and learning! We were swinging clubs at the annual alumni golf tournament, raising over $50,000 in scholarship funds to support ENMU students who are children of alumni. We came together to cheer at football tailgates and enjoyed Eastern New Mexico University’s family weekend with a mix and mingle breakfast.

There have been so many reasons to gather!

We even raised a glass, and awareness, at Mammoths and Mocktails, bringing our alumni out to Black Water Draw for a night of learning and connecting.

Whether we were in the greens, around the table, or cheering from the sidelines, one thing stayed the same: Greyhounds showed up for each other! 💚🩶

Our next alumni events will be over the Homecoming weekend, October 16 and 17! Keep in the know for alumni events with the ENMU calendar. Link in our bio! by @enmu
