@mister.murphyyyy and I visited the @pokemon Fossil Museum, for the day and it was a total blast! This was our first time experiencing Chicago’s @fieldmuseum and we were blown away by the size of it. We’ll definitely be back again soon to visit some of the exhibits we missed out on! 🏛️

Located within Hotel Peter and Paul (A thoughtfully restored boutique hotel within a former rectory and convent) in New Orleans’ Marigny neighborhood, The Elysian Bar is an award-winning experience-driven restaurant and bar…

The cocktail menu is curated and precise, offering seasonal options and bar staples, as well as non-alcoholic options.

The dining menu is succinct, offering a selection of smaller plates and mains, all of which are phenomenal options. ESPECIALLY the filet.

The Mosquito Supper Club is quite literally one of the BEST dining experiences I’ve ever had. Created 12 years ago to celebrate local shrimpers, oyster fisherman, crabbers and farmers who define Cajun cuisine, owner and founder Melissa Martin (A native of Chauvin, LA) wanted to open a restaurant with a communal dining experience that changes seasonally based upon local fishing and farming produce. A dinner for the adventurous and likened to an old fashioned house party, this six course supper is going to live in my mind for a very long time…

The Shrimp and Watermelon Salad was EXTREMELY flavorful, dressed in a chili-lime vinaigrette, peanuts and cilantro, while the Higgins Crab Claws were tender and juicy dressed in warm butter and herbs (I will admit I’m NOT a huge fan of specific seafoods, but I braved the claws and they were DELICIOUS).

A gumbo of my dreams, with fresh potato salad and celery pickles 🙏🏼

Hand-made fig and buttermilk swirled ice cream in warm waffle comas and toasted benne seeds… #HEAVEN

A Vieux Carre and a spinning bar…

The Carousel Bar located in Hotel Monteleone started spinning in 1949 and it hasn’t stopped since. Completing a rotation every 15 minutes this bar is unlike anything you’ve seen and a staple of New Orleans.

Every time I visit New Orleans, I’m telling ya, I fall more and more in love. Tales of The Cocktail is the premiere conference where hospitality professionals, industry insiders and cocktail enthusiasts have the opportunity to connect, taste and learn, all while experiencing the warm and vibrant hospitality that New Orleans, LA has to offer. This was my first time attending @tales_of_the_cocktail with @niceguyspizza and I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. 🍸

Who knew screaming the lyrics to “What Dreams Are Made Of” with your sister in a crowd of 20,000 fellow millennials is all it takes to heal your inner child?
Super fortunate to have seen my childhood celebrity crush @hilaryduff not once, but TWICE on the #luckymetour in West Palm Beach and Tampa and I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun this tour is! The nostalgia really hits hard on this one.

#PrideMonth may have come to an end last week, but personally, I get to celebrate and cherish pride every day in my relationship with my honey, @mister.murphyyyy 🏳️‍🌈

I’m so incredibly lucky to have a partner to love and be loved by, throughout all of the highs and lows of life. Someone to have by my side on every adventure, side quest and new experience (no matter how crazy), and to live life fully and authentically with. Part of that pride stems from how we support and encourage each other to pursue our dreams and our passions.

Over the past year or so, it’s filled me with so much joy watching Murph fall head-over-heels in love with birding, nature and environmental conservation. I’ve learned so much from him in such a short amount of time not only about birds, but about how to slow down and truly appreciate the wonders of nature that surround us everywhere we go (I constantly catch myself looking up at the sky now too). I’ve cherished every nature trail we’ve hiked, every new park we’ve visited and every interaction we’ve had with other birders.

It’s such an immense feeling to love someone so wholeheartedly and take pride in watching that person discover a new passion, grow with it over time and bloom into the best version of themself. LGBTQIA+ Pride will always be a core part of our relationship, and we’ll continue to celebrate it and protect it every day through love and authenticity 🫶🏼
