40 years of Ensemble Aventure 🎂 📅 7 October 2026 · 20:00 Elisabeth-Schneider-Stiftung · Freiburg Forty years is a long time for an ensemble devoted to contemporary music. But for our 40th anniversary, we decided not to make a retrospective. Instead, we want to ask a different question: what comes next? What does an ensemble carry with it after four decades? What remains, what changes, and what can still be invented? Rather than looking back at a finished history, we wanted to celebrate the possibility of continuing to make things happen together, and without knowing exactly where they will lead. For this anniversary concert we decided to bring together works by Carola Bauckholt, Erin Gee, Mikel Iturregi, Pauline Oliveros, Rebecca Saunders, Ali Latif Shushtari and Thierry Tidrow. Alongside the concert, an exhibition will gather fragments from Ensemble Aventure’s history: photographs, posters, recordings, documents and other traces of the people and projects that have shaped the ensemble over the past 40 years. With the friendly support of the City of Freiburg and in cooperation with SWR Kultur. 🎟 Tickets: €20 / €15 (Freundesverein) / free for students & Freiburg-Pass holders. @stadt_freiburg design: @kiterea by @ensembleaventure
