Well that's the end of a fantastic weekend. Lots of people young and old enjoyed adding a little something to the large felt picture. This has now been donated to the Stranraer cancer drop in centre to go on a wall there. All the proceeds from pitch fees, entrance, drop in and the Ceilidh go to the charity. Many people taking part, running and attending the event have been affected in some way by cancer. The waulking was fun again. We had some Viking visitors that arrived on a 10th century replica boat to the port along the road from Brittany. What an amazing journey they are on and they were so interesting to talk too. Well thats a wrap! Our exhibition has now finished and I think we would all agree that we have definitely 'Felt Connected ' over the last few weeks. We have had visitors from all over the world and with comments such as 'the best exhibition I have been too' or how members of the public have loved chatting to us and watching us work, I thought I would copy and paste a small handful for people to enjoy. About 21 years ago I attended a wet felting workshop and these mittens were the first things I ever felted. I added a cord back then so I didnt lose them as they were so rustic they wouldn't fit in my coat pockets. I still love them and wear them if it is very cold. I bought some beautiful autumnal locks from @barn2yarn @newarkwoolshow last week. I knitted them into this asymmetrical shawl/collar which can be worn multiple ways. It has been drying in the beautiful September sunshine this afternoon and almost glows. Pure British wool and yarn and I just love it. Finished with a hand crafted wooden button. #vikingshawl

I had a request for a phone case with a flap and be able to pop a credit card in also. It was to go with a small coin purse this lovely lady bought from me at the Eden Wool Gathering. So, I got the measurements of her phone, created a resist and idea in my head. It has a pocket for her credit cards and a flap. I decided to felt the curls in more than they were on the purse as I figured this would be handled a lot. I am quite pleased with how it turned out. Love the texture and might explore this further.
