“It draws you in, making you feel like you’re actually going somewhere.” — Robert Stilin

Yorkstraße Shadows by Paul Hutchinson, selected by Stilin for Enth Invites: Balance Through Dynamic Tension.

Light, shadow and traces of urban life transform an overlooked passage into something quietly atmospheric — characteristic of Hutchinson’s attention to the gestures and details that shape our experience of the city.

For New York–based interior designer and collector Robert Stilin, art is inseparable from the experience of living.

Guided by instinct rather than a prescribed formula, his approach to collecting embraces contrast, layering and unexpected relationships between works.

For Enth Invites, Stilin brings this sensibility to a personal selection of works by Li Trincere, Paul Hutchinson, Francesco De Prezzo and Cy Twombly, exploring how distinct visual languages can coexist and create dialogue.

In an accompanying conversation, he reflects on his relationship with art, the instinct behind collecting, and the importance of developing confidence in one’s own eye.

Precision and intuition coexist in the work of Li Trincere.

For over three decades, Trincere has explored geometric abstraction through a rigorous yet deeply intuitive visual language. Her works are defined by sharply articulated forms, dynamic spatial relationships, and restrained colour palettes that heighten their sense of rhythm and movement.

Drawing from the legacies of Minimalism and hard-edge painting, Trincere creates compositions that balance formal precision with a distinctly human energy.

Photography forms the starting point for many of Ziva Drvaric’s works.

Working with screen-print on canvas, Drvaric translates photographic images of interiors and everyday objects into surfaces that sit between documentation and imagination. Through this process, photographic precision begins to soften: details become ambiguous, familiar forms less certain and the distinction between image and object increasingly unstable.

A selection of works by Ziva Drvaric is currently available through Enth Projects.

The familiar becomes uncertain in the work of Ziva Drvaric.

Working across images, objects and spatial interventions, Drvaric explores the relationship between perception, memory and the spaces we inhabit. Interiors and everyday objects remain recognisable, yet subtle shifts in scale, framing and context loosen their familiarity, allowing absence, memory and imagination to enter.

Our latest editorial, Spaces of Quiet Uncertainty, looks more closely at Drvaric’s practice and the ways in which she transforms the familiar into something psychologically charged and quietly unstable.

spotlights the practice of Bettina.

For Bettina, textiles offered another means of thinking through structure, sequence and transformation. Rather than approaching weaving as a decorative medium, she treated the woven surface as a modular system in which geometry could unfold through repetition, rhythm and variation.

Across these works, simple forms—bands, circles and linear structures generate increasingly complex spatial relationships. Small shifts in scale, overlap and proportion create compositions that appear simultaneously stable and in motion, reflecting Bettina’s enduring interest in how form evolves through systematic change.

Like her sculptures and photographs, these textiles resist the notion of the singular image. Instead, they belong to a broader investigation into interconnected systems, where each work represents one moment within a continually unfolding process.

spotlights the practice of Bettina.

Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Bettina turned her attention to the visual rhythms of New York. Rather than documenting the city, she transformed its architecture, reflections and movement into evolving systems of perception.

Working through serial photography, mirrored surfaces and repeated image fragments, Bettina disrupted the fixed viewpoint of the camera. Buildings dissolve into abstract patterns, pedestrians become fields of movement, and reflections blur distinctions between interior and exterior, image and reality.

Like her sculptures, these works investigate transformation through sequence and variation. Each photograph proposes that perception is never static, but continually reconfigured through time, movement and changing points of view.

spotlights the practice of Bettina.

Working across sculpture, photography, textiles, painting, drawing, film and writing, American artist Bettina Grossman, known professionally as Bettina (1927–2021) developed one of the most singular and interdisciplinary practices of her generation. Rather than treating each medium independently, she understood every work as part of a larger, interconnected system in which ideas could evolve through serial thinking, material experimentation and continual transformation.

Central to Bettina’s practice was an ongoing enquiry into geometry, mathematics and the fourth dimension. Rather than conceiving artworks as autonomous objects, she understood them as evolving systems capable of generating new relationships through sequence, variation and transformation. Through this approach, Bettina sought to expand abstraction beyond the singular object, exploring how form could unfold through time as a continuous process of change.

Though long overlooked, Bettina’s work has received renewed international attention in recent years through major institutional exhibitions and new scholarship, reaffirming her importance as a pioneering figure in post-war conceptual and interdisciplinary art.

Featured here are works from Bettina’s One Constant. Euclidean to Non-Euclidean Curve series (1972–73). Beginning with a single geometric form, Bettina systematically generated a sequence of sculptural permutations through incremental rotation and displacement. Rather than presenting a finished object, each sculpture represents one state within an open-ended continuum, reflecting her lifelong investigation into the fourth dimension—not as a fixed condition, but as a continual process of transformation and becoming.
