There’s so much information out there about health; it’s hard to know where to begin.

I often hear people say they’re waiting for the right time to start.

But usually, it’s not really about timing. It’s that it doesn’t feel easy… or supported… or safe to change things right now.

There’s a sense that everything has to line up; more time, less stress, a calmer schedule, maybe even a more supportive environment at home.

And when that doesn’t happen, it’s easier to wait.

But it doesn’t have to be perfect to begin.

What matters is starting in a way that feels supportive, nourishing, and actually doable.

That’s how real change happens.

This is the approach I take in my work; helping you find a starting point that fits into your life.

Right now, I offer:
• Functional Nutrition Counseling
• Cooking + Food Education

If you’ve been feeling stuck or unsure where to begin, you’re welcome to reach out or send me a message.

Flu season has a way of reminding us how much our everyday habits matter.

And supporting your immune system isn't about finding one magic food, supplement, or quick fix.

It starts with the basics.

Enough rest.
Nourishing meals.
Good hydration.
Healthy digestion.
Natural daylight and movement.
And paying attention when your body starts asking you to slow down.

You don't have to do everything perfectly.

Just start giving your body more of what it needs to do the work it's already trying to do.

And don't forget to make time for a little laughter and connection along the way.

We're really good at putting our health on the back burner.

There's always someone who needs us.
Something that needs to get done.
Another reason to wait.

But your body doesn't stop needing support just because life gets busy.

And you don't have to overhaul everything to give your body support.

Choose one thing this week.

Maybe it's making time for a nourishing breakfast instead of running on coffee.

Maybe it's taking a 10-minute walk after dinner.

Or maybe it's finally making that appointment you've been putting off to get answers about symptoms you've learned to live with.

Small changes matter. And you don't have to wait until life slows down to begin.

Make time to rest.
Make time to nourish yourself.
Make time to slow down, take a breath, and enjoy the things that bring you joy.

You deserve to thrive.

Send this to someone who needs the reminder, too. by @enthriven.wellness

I spent a lot of my younger years thinking nutrition was about finding the right rules. And when I didn’t feel well, I often thought the answer was to take something else away.

What I wish I’d understood sooner was that sometimes my body needed more, not less.

I needed enough protein, fat, fiber, and the raw materials my body uses every day to make hormones and neurotransmitters, produce energy, maintain tissue, and repair.

I learned that “healthy” didn’t always mean raw. When my digestion was struggling, cooked foods were often easier for me to digest.

I also worked in restaurants for years, grabbing bites while I worked or bringing a smoothie because I didn’t have time for breakfast. I didn’t understand how much the state we’re in when we eat matters too.

And after years of eliminating, cleansing, changing, and resetting, I learned the value of consistency. Sometimes our bodies need less dietary whiplash and more time to adapt.

Health became less about what else I could take away and more about what I could give my body.

Nourishment. Replenishment. Consistency. And the building blocks it needs to heal, repair, and thrive.

That’s what I wish I had understood in my early 20s. And it’s a big part of what I’ll be sharing in my free webinar this Tuesday.

Maybe taking care of your health doesn’t have to come from a place of wanting to fix yourself.

It can come from curiosity.

From noticing what your body needs, understanding the signals it’s giving you, and learning how to support it instead of constantly fighting it.

You can want to feel better without believing there’s something wrong with you for not feeling perfect.

That shift in perspective can change the way you approach your health.

And that’s a big part of what we’ll explore in my upcoming webinar.

Gut health isn’t only about adding more fiber, taking probiotics, or finding the “right” foods.

Sometimes, the habits around your meals matter, too.

• Sit down and take a few slow breaths before your first bite. Notice that you’re in a safe space. Let your body slow down.

• Chew thoroughly. Digestion starts in your mouth. Try putting your fork down between bites. You’ll naturally slow down, chew more, and give yourself more time to notice when you’re getting full.

• Let yourself actually enjoy your food. Taste it. Smell it. Be there for the meal. You deserve time to sit and eat.

• Take a gentle walk after a meal.

These things may sound simple, but digestion is more than what happens after you swallow.

Your nervous system, your pace, and whether you’re sitting down to eat or grabbing bites on the run all play a role.

Try this at your next meal: put your phone away, take three slow breaths before your first bite, and give yourself time to actually eat.

Then notice how you feel.

Sometimes, start with the way you’re eating. by @enthriven.wellness

There’s a lot of health advice out there that sounds good at first.

Eat healthier.
Take more supplements.
Follow the “perfect” diet.
Fix the symptom and move on.

But the more I’ve learned, the less I believe health can be reduced to a list of rules.

Your body is not a checklist.

Your symptoms have a story.
Your food needs to work for you.
And sometimes, doing more isn’t what your body needs.

That’s why I’m more interested in asking better questions than following every new piece of health advice that comes along.

If you’re tired of trying to figure it all out on your own, we’ll talk about how to start looking at the bigger picture in my upcoming webinar.

We’re often taught to look at things like constipation and bloating as problems to get rid of.

Take something for it.
Cut something out.
Add more fiber.
Try another supplement.

But what if we got curious about what those symptoms were telling us first?

Digestion is connected to so much more than what happens in your gut. Hydration, stress, your nervous system, movement, food choices, and how well you’re actually digesting and absorbing your food can all be part of the picture.

You don’t have to ignore the symptom.

But you also don’t have to stop at the symptom.

That’s where better questions begin.

We’ll talk more about how to connect the dots between your symptoms and the bigger picture in my upcoming webinar.

You’re invited to the table.

If you’re tired, constipated, in pain, or just not feeling like yourself even though you’ve been trying to do all the right things, there may be reasons you’ve never been told to look at.

In this free webinar, I’m going to show you some of the connections I look for in functional nutrition and why you may not be seeing the results you want.

We’ll talk about sleep, digestion, and some of the less obvious things that can quietly get in the way of feeling better, even when you’re doing so much right.

My goal is for you to leave understanding your body a little differently and with a clearer idea of what it may be asking for.

Come curious. Leave with something you can actually use.

How many more things are you supposed to try?

The new diet.
The supplements.
The list of things you're supposed to eliminate.
The appointment with another specialist.
The next thing someone swears will finally make you feel better.

I know that cycle because I've lived it.

And after a while, the hardest part isn't even the symptoms.

It's being tired of thinking about your health all the time.
Tired of wondering what you're doing wrong.
Tired of starting over.
Tired of trying to piece together headaches, constipation, cravings, brain fog, fatigue, pain, and everything else that keeps showing up.

I eventually realized I didn't need another thing to try.

I needed to understand what was actually going on.

That's the conversation I want to have with you.

Join me for a free live Functional Nutrition webinar:

Why You're Still Tired, In Pain, and Constipated, Even When Your Labs Look "Normal"
September 22 | Tuesday | 6 PM CT | 7 PM ET

We'll talk about looking at your symptoms differently, finding the connections between them, and figuring out where to start instead of trying to fix everything at once.

And yes, I'll save plenty of time for your questions.

You don't need to try harder.

You may just need to look at the problem differently.

Before Enthriven, there was a bakery. ❤️
I came across some photos from my bakery days recently, and they really brought me back.
I’ve been working on relaunching Enthriven, my Functional Nutrition practice, and it’s had me thinking a lot about where I’ve been, what I’ve learned, and all the different pieces of my life that have brought me here.
From 2016–2019, the bakery was my world. I baked, cooked, created, fermented, fed people, worked ridiculous hours, and loved so much of it.
I also made a lot of mistakes.
I learned how to run a business. I learned new skills because something needed to be done and there wasn’t always someone else to do it. And I’m pretty sure I learned at least 47 different ways not to do things. 😂
I learned how to be a better communicator and a better leader. I learned how to ask for help, solve problems, pivot when something wasn’t working, and figure things out when I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.
I learned a lot about food, people, business, and myself.
Looking back now, I can see so much of who I am today in those years. The creativity. The curiosity. The love of learning. The love of feeding people. And maybe most of all, the willingness to keep learning as I go.
Eventually, that chapter came to an end. I closed the bakery, packed up, and started traveling.
I had no idea where life was going to take me next.
And that’s where the story gets interesting. ❤️

Getting a diagnosis can feel like finally having an answer.

But sometimes, it’s just the beginning of asking better questions.

My experience with SIBO taught me to look beyond the diagnosis and get curious about the bigger picture.

Because your symptoms may not be separate problems.

They may be clues.

Understanding those clues can change how you approach your health.

That’s one of the things we’ll explore together in my upcoming webinar, especially how seemingly unrelated symptoms can be connected.
