What if…

Maybe I hope too much
So I become too much
Have never been just right
But also never enough?
What did you learn from this outcome
Whatever I choose
Whatever I have done
Let me be the person I am meant to become
For I know I don’t get to live forever
Some of us don’t even get to stay for long
Close my eyes and in my thoughts
I remember and hold tight to memories of loved ones.
Who are never truly gone.

On the top of my mind
The spot where the sun touches and warms my head
First thought when I roll out of bed
You come to me in dreams in the darkest of night
Gone never forgotten

Becoming

Everything I am
Everything I will be
I ask for many blessings
On my trip to destiny
There is no such thing as time
No outcome to be expected
But anticipation
For adjustments and a couple self reflections
Throughout our life there are corrections
Imperfectly perfect I do exist
But celebration is encouraged
What at time, what a trip,
What a true blessing, what a gift,
Living with a heavy heart.
Exceptional attitude of gratitude.
We only exist in spaces,
We created from the start.
Relishing in this moment despite the haters at the door
We enjoy the sport with due respect for the ones that came before
Each one helped pave a way
So I enjoy the one I am living in.
So for a short while embrace it,
For every moment is fleeting fast.
With love for the game within our hearts
Cheers to the ones that have come before

Give up or Give all

Not once on the guest list.
Never invited in.
Every moment earned.
Recognition from within.
But during this trip around the sun,
We will soak up all the fun.
For this moment that we are in,
What it takes to be great.
Become a champion.
Start with the recipe, to create the sauce.
Figure how to get it going, before it then takes off.
Recognize right here, right now.
Alive and blessed in this moment, we become.
The vision of ourselves, never divided stand as one.
To say you have done it at all.
To breathe in and then exhale.
Feel your chest rise and then fall.
It takes each one of us all, to prevail.
If we don’t, we stand together
One heart, one beat in unity
For that is what it will take to be great
Embrace the suck, don’t ever give up,
Find your courage from defeat.
Duplicate effort and then repeat.
It will take so much out of me

Live, what could only be a dream
For this is the part of dreaming that we forget to be
That every thought that we think,
We instinctively create.
Maybe without the programming to know exactly what to say.
But if we can choose to even think,
A different thought, for thinking’s sake.
What we will discover is abundance
That has shifted on our plate.
So much here to nourish the head and mind connecting me in different ways
