EliseAI announced a $350 million raise led by Andreessen Horowitz and Bessemer Venture Partners at a $4 billion valuation, roughly doubling its valuation in under a year since its previous round from the same lead investors. The round also included Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, Sapphire Ventures, and Navitas Capital, EliseAI's longtime backers. Total funding to date now stands at around $772 million.

Minna Song, EliseAI's co-founder and CEO, is an MIT-trained computer scientist who took a front desk job at a New York real estate firm specifically to learn the leasing industry before writing any code. Watching inquiries go unanswered outside business hours convinced her the process could be automated, and in 2017 she co-founded EliseAI, building vertical AI software for leasing, maintenance, and patient intake across housing and healthcare. The platform now runs 20 percent of the country's apartment operations, and the new funding will expand it further. by @eostudio.official

In 1995, New Jersey’s Daily Record ran a story about a high school senior named Fei-Fei Li. She had arrived from China with her mother in May 1992, knowing zero English, and started out in ESL classes. Three years later, she had a perfect 800 on the SAT math section and an acceptance letter from Princeton. Her principal called it the ”American dream come true,“ adding: ”She has no idea she is special.“ Fei-Fei herself said she was just like everyone else.

31 years later, she‘s known as the ”Godmother of AI.“ She built ImageNet, a dataset of over 14 million images that taught computers how to see and helped spark the deep learning revolution. In 2024, she founded World Labs to give AI an understanding of the 3D world. This week, AMD agreed to acquire World Labs for $8.2 billion. The girl who once knew zero English will now help write AI’s next chapter as AMD‘s Chief Scientist. by @eostudio.official

Meet Yoonseok Yang, CEO & Co-founder of Pensive, an AI grading platform that has processed 3 million gradings and 300,000+ tutoring sessions in its first year.

At 18, Yoon was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, which shaped a question he still asks: if he had only 10 years left, would he still do this? He built his ML background at Riiid before founding Pensive, which raised a $6.87 million seed led by Mayfield, with personal investment from Robinhood’s Vlad Tenev and Ramp‘s Karim Atiyeh.

Eight Sleep was co-founded in 2014 by Matteo Franceschetti, a former lawyer and ski racer with two exits behind him who struggled with sleep while building his previous companies, together with Alexandra Zatarain and Massimo Andreasi Bassi. Its Pod, a water-cooled cover that fits over any mattress, tracks heart rate, HRV and breathing without a wearable and uses AI to adjust each side’s temperature through the night. What began as a three-day garage prototype is now used by Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Kevin Hart, and the company was valued at $1.5B in March 2026.

The company has just announced Pod 6, its sixth-generation system and what it calls the smallest and most powerful Pod yet. Launching September 23, it brings a Hub that‘s 50% smaller and fits under most bed frames, cooling and heating that are 20% faster, and 9x the sensors for more accurate biometric data. The starting price is $1,999, down from $2,799 for Pod 5.

Wu dropped out of MIT and was a hedge fund's youngest quant researcher before co-founding Sola with CTO Neil Deshmukh. It raised a $3.5M seed led by Conviction and a $17.5M Series A led by a16z.

Sola is an agentic process automation platform that automates repetitive enterprise tasks. Two years after YC, its clients include Fortune 100 and AmLaw 100 companies, with 2025 revenue up 5x.
