Emel Polat
Born in Dersim/Tunceli.
Graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture in 2009.

Between 2010 and 2022, as a founding partner of Grid Tasarım Mimarlık, I led architectural projects including social housing, private residences, hotels, dormitories, office buildings, and cultural centers.

Since 2022, I have been continuing my practice under EP+Studio, operating across Turkey and Germany.

With a new Berlin-centered structure, I am expanding my practice internationally, focusing on sustainable design, modular systems, and contemporary building technologies.

Moving forward to new beginnings with the same enthusiasm and a smile …

Thermal Boutique Hotel 🗻archival concept

Designed to dissolve into the mountainous silhouette rather than dominate it.

The massing strategy follows the natural slope, minimizing visual impact while framing controlled views toward the valley.
Architecture acts as a quiet backdrop to landscape and atmosphere.
Special thanks to @egemenkarakaya for collaboration.

Residential project — archival work.🔎
Focused on clean geometry and material contrast
Looking back at this project, I still value the spatial simplicity and facade rhythm.
Design evolves — fundamentals remain.
