We’re blessed that Coach Eric Perry (AZ) is an integral part of the #PhDHoopsUSA Coaching Staff. A man of character and winner on the sideline, Coach Perry led his U19 squad to a Gold Medal at the United World Games in June and is a top-notch role model for our athletes. #RepTheUSA 🇺🇸🏀🏆 taken in United World Games by @eperry88

Life Update:

Round 3 of chemo has started for me today! I want to first say thank you to everyone and I mean everyone who has reached out to me and has supported me throughout this journey. From calls, texts, house visits, sending me meals and Prayers. Im beyond appreciative! If I haven’t called you back or texted you, you gotta forgive me some days are better than others. My mind and beyond can get fatigued. I’m going to continue to fight and overcome this cancer. As always please continue to keep me in your prayers. Much love - EP taken in HonorHealth Virginia G. July 15th I had surgery to remove a tumor in my nose that blocked airway from my breathing. July 25th a day I’ll never forget. Dr. tells me that he was able to remove 60% of the tumor but the remaining tumor he couldn’t get due to it being so close to my skull and it moving towards the brain. Furthermore when he turned in the tumor to get looked at it came back cancerous. As you can imagine my emotions have been all over the place. I’ve cried, I’ve questioned, I’ve broke down. Hearing that news shook me to my core. The Dr. recommend me to another surgeon and he gave me two options! He said let’s get me starting Chemo ASAP cause with it being so close to my brain chemo would be best option to shrink the tumor. I’ve started chemo last week. My body and mind have been mentally and physically drained. I am sorry to those who have been calling and texting me. It’s days I don’t have the energy and I’m trying to fight this pain. Support has been nothing but positive for me from my family, my Arvizu family, my friends and those who I’ve told. This isn’t easy and I will fight this battle! I ask for anyone reading this please keep me in your prayers some days are better than others but I appreciate every prayer I can get. Much love - EP by @eperry88
