Congrats to @sal.bardo on his debut feature film! Caught it at @twincitiesfilmfest and @francesfisher delivers a majestic performance! by @ephender

That’s my dad, @mhender54 ! 🔥 🎷 What a treat to hear him play back home again in Minneapolis! (OK, it’s only been like a month since the move to Denver.)

Making this one sweeter is that the occasion was paying tribute to dad’s great friend and mentor Dave Karr. Dave’s life was 95 years of pure jazz attitude. Dad even played Dave’s bari! by @ephender

Thank god for husbands who both ❤️ classical music. What a thrill to celebrate the start of @minnorch’s 124th season, kicking one of my all-time classical bucket list pieces: Sergei Prokofiev’s thrilling, wrenching Second Piano Concerto!

Also … this lump on my head, is it … obvious? Should I wear a hat for now?

We didn’t get married on the 21st night of September, but close. Our marriage certificate, which lists a different date than our actual wedding, also doesn’t list the 21st of September, but close.

No matter, the sentiment remains the same. I do remember, and “I do” still rings true.

Love you forever to my favorite host AND guest! ❤️ 📺 🎤 🤩 Now, our musical guest tonight recorded the best pop song ever written. Ladies and gentlemen, @earthwindandfire! by @ephender

Just moved my parents to Denver to join my sisters — Minneapolis is down to me and Mike now. 💔 Softened the blow when we randomly ran into @kanehodder13 in Des Moines, my parents’ hometown. Every Friday the 13th movie night just flashed before my eyes. 🔪

June 1997, trip to NYC and DC, one last family vacation before I headed to college. We didn’t end up going up to the observation deck, tho it was on my list. We’d already done the Empire State Building, so it seemed unnecessary. I’m now glad I don’t have the mental picture of what it looked like up there from inside.
