First time coloring a deep skin tone. I think I did a pretty good job! I might not have much melanin myself but I REFUSE to be one more person making excuses about why they can’t or don’t draw characters/people with darker complexions.

An older drawing I never posted, a portrait I did of @isabelleikpeme 💚 Her outfits and makeup looks are STUNNING. This green one really jumped out at me and I wanted to give it a shot. I tend to gravitate towards pinks, purples and blues so it was nice to do something different! Portraits have been a good way for me to practice, especially for getting my colors more accurate.

Wicked Lady - Sailor Moon 🌙 In true 90s kid fashion, I grew up watching Sailor Moon as my introduction to anime and magical girl genre. I instantly fell in love with the character designs, especially some of the villains. I had No idea until I was an adult that many of their looks were based on real life fashion pieces from the time!
