- SKULL & FLORES - NYC -
📍188 Lafayette

Last week i had the great pleasure to paint one of my latest illustrations in collaboration with my good friends at @lisaprojectnyc it’s my first official mural in Manhattan NYC and i could not be happier with the result. 3 days executing my vision. This piece is named Skull & Flores and it represents the beauty and the decay, life and death the balance of why we are here and where we are going. From decay new things shall Spring to life.

I want to thank all of my friends who showed up to support and the energy and the people of this great city who welcomed my artwork with open arms and stopped and spoke to me and admired the work during its creation.

First of many. Stay tuned.

Also a special thanks to @catscoffeecreativity, @kristycnyc and @thedrif for their proper documentation. As well as every photographer who took the time to shoot during and after completion.

Some collaborations just happen organically.

@toofly.nyc and I first connected during my solo show at Studio 6 in NYC. We immediately hit it off, sharing stories about the murals we’ve painted over the years and our journeys through graffiti and street art.

So when she reached out about collaborating on a wall in the Lower East Side, I was all in.

I told her, “I want to wrap your iconic character with my skull flowers.” And just like that, the concept was born.

Within a week, we had a clear vision and a plan to bring it to life. Between our busy schedules, we ended up painting our parts at different times, but the pieces came together exactly how we imagined.

Two artists, two distinct styles, one shared vision.

Couldn’t be happier with how this wall turned out. Much love and respect to @toofly.nyc for making it happen, and a big thank you to @artbridge and @conedison for giving us the space to create.

More walls. More connections. More art. 💀🌸

Sorry, we’re OPEN. And apparently we’re fully stocked. 👀

My piece COCAINA — All Purpose Powder is hitting the shelves at SORRY WE’RE OPEN, a deli & grocery-inspired group art show at Sweet Avenue in Queens.

This one brings together two sides of my creative life: 20+ years designing consumer packaging… and a slightly questionable sense of humor.

So naturally, I designed a product you probably won’t find at your local supermarket.

100% Plant Based.
Farm to Nostril.
Net Wt. 1 Kilo.
Have Fun Responsibly.

Good packaging should make you want to pick up the product.

This one might make you want to put it down very, very slowly. 😂

I’ll also have signed 8×10 color prints available at the show, ready to take home for anyone who wants a little questionable humor on their wall.

Big thanks to Mort & Paolo for curating and letting me stock the shelves.

SORRY WE’RE OPEN
Saturday, August 22 • 6PM ’til late
Sweet Avenue • 40-05 Queens Blvd, Sunnyside, NY

Come through and check it out.

Original art. Signed prints. No samples. 😂
