I didn’t win the seat but I won the race ! Mama I made it on TV for @nyccouncil cone on somebody !

I LIVE IT ..

Teaching, training, mentoring , writing, re-entry programs, program director, CBO executive, advocating and building community through my leadership, civil and social engagements .

GOD gave me a calling, vision and mission and I been on that journey since. The beauty of life expands when you understand PURPOSE and move with INTEGRITY.. own merits due to what work I put not one given to ME !

When you are chosen you will have many who will follow and others who doubt but so did JESUS so who am I to complain !

Volumes in one photo . Beautiful, intelligent, hardworking women who truly understand the meaning of labor and having to EARN their positions.

Each woman in this picture demonstrates the level of capacity and commitment for the #latin community. Using their voices for call of actions and not backing down . When not invited .. we simply create our own space and create OWNERSHIP NOT BY DEFAULT but through WORK and character . Noble and compassionate for all people . Working as a unified front to bring opportunities and resources to the many underserved communities .

WE earn OUR spots it was NOT given . One thing for sure and two things for certain… Latin women put dedication in all things we do ! From work, to family, attending to a home , cooking and being advocates for the many communities in which we serve .

Some immigrants or first generation of individuals to receive a college degree or as simple as speak English . We refuse to skip lines! Focus on purpose and driven by ambition !

I will continue to be an example of the above and work on providing the best leadership, partnership mannerism and moving with integrity . Building blocks all while restoring communities. Through my programs, my voice, grant writing abilities and HEART . Boots to the ground 20 plus years of doing this work and everyday it feels like new !

I thank #god for the opportunities he is providing and the expansion with likeminded core soul tribe .

I said GOD was expanding and I’m stinking to it !!!! GO JAMILAH GO
