Our beautiful cover stars @_locstarrr & @thejbrisk have set the tone for what it means to be on the pages of ERA MAYÉ'VEN. Beautiful inside and out, extremely creative, and in a league of their own.

Our phenomenal team of photographers, our makeup artist and production team members have all set the bar HIGH, giving us visuals we'll always remember 🖤

My fellow fashionistas, what does your magazine collection look like??

since I was a little girl, I've kept a fashion mag collection, and anyone who knows me knows, you will NOT throw one away in my presence! 👏🏾I don't care how old it is!

Fashion magazines document so much about where we are in life, our attitudes toward certain issues, what we love, what we don't love, and what we aspire to. They're crucial parts of history in my eyes... and creating my very own magazine publication has not only been a love letter to the little girl in me who adored all things fashion and storytelling, but it's allowed me to collaborate with other brilliant creatives to tell our OWN tangible stories, OUR WAY. 🧡

Featuring original imagery from compelling creators, well-written fashion commentary, and higher quality paper than your average magazine, this celebration of style and creativity will endure several page flips for years to come…

FUN FACT: 💖💖💖 our Editor-in-Chief @sharrastyledher has always been deeply inspired by on-screen portrayals of black women in media! From Sydney Shaw, editor of XXL in the film Brown Sugar (played by Sanaa Lathan) to the iconic Queen Latifah’s character Khadijah James, who had her very own magazine called Flava in the well loved sitcom Living Single, & let’s NOT FORGET REAL LIFE fashion icon & pioneer, the late & great Eunice Walker Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was the founder of Ebony Fashion Fair & wife of Ebony Magazine publisher John Johnson.
