❤️ PASS THE PULSE - IT STARTS WITH KNOWING WHAT TO DO

💪 Yesterday, 14 people took an important step towards being ready to save a life, joining our CPR training session delivered by the ERC Instructors and organised by POM (Provinciale Ontwikkelingsmaatschappij), Antwerp, as part of their annual safety courses. Thank you to all the partners Amoul and @schillermedical for providing the essential tools and support during the Training session.

✅ 14 people = 14 more people who know what to do when every second counts.

💙 And now, we’re getting ready to hashtag#PassThePulse.
❤️ Because life-saving knowledge should never stop with the person who learns it.

THIS IS WHAT SAVING LIVES LOOKS LIKE.

From the journey to Arusha to the hands-on training at Mount Meru Regional Referral Hospital — this aftermovie captures what happens when people come together to strengthen resuscitation education. ❤️

🙌 CPR manikins donated by ERC, with the generous support of Laerdal Medical and Lufthansa Aviation Training Centre, are now helping healthcare professionals train, practise and prepare to save lives.

A special thank you to Health Mission Africa for helping make this initiative happen on the ground.

#RESUS26 What a congress. What a journey. What a memory 🇮🇹

Three days ago, I had the privilege of opening the ERC - European Resuscitation Council Congress here in Milan.

Today, standing on that stage for the Closing Ceremony, I realised how quickly these three days had passed and how much they had given us.

Science, education, debate, innovation.

But above all, people.

Old friends and new friends. Colleagues from across Europe and around the world. Conversations in the corridors, ideas born over a coffee, smiles, hugs, and the feeling of belonging to one community. For me, this Congress was something very personal.

To welcome the ERC family to Italy, in Milan, as President of the European Resuscitation Council, was a moment I will never forget.

Thank you to our ERC Office, Board, Scientific Committee, faculty, volunteers, partners, organisers and everyone who worked behind the scenes.

And thank you to every single person who came to Milan and made #RESUS26 what it was.

A congress ends. But the work does not.

We go home with new knowledge, new connections, new ideas, and hopefully even more determination to improve survival from cardiac arrest.

Some moments pass quickly. Some stay with you.
Milan 2026 will stay with me.
