Now that I have finished the panels for the interior French doors, I decided to redo the top panels on the exterior doors. I'm continuing the hexagon patter, and I'm incorporating these glass faces. The hubs was home today to help me take down the door so I could install the new glass. Side by side, to me there's no comparison. I love how the new glass look! I can't wait to install the second one this weekend. #stainedglass #honeycomb #homeimprovement by @erc247

Making new panels for the interior set of French doors at the front of my house. I made a set when we first moved into our home to replace the plastic ( yellow stuff in the last picture) that was definitely not original to the house. After making the transom window for the kitchen 4 years ago (time flies) I decided the hastily thrown together set I made previously needed to be replaced with something on par with the skill level as the transom. I've got all the pieces cut out, cleaned up on the grinder, and copper foiled. Next is soldering, cleaning, blackening the solder, and installing. That requires taking the door down, and removing the trim to get the old pieces of glass out. #stainedglass #beehive #honeycomb #colorful #victorianhome by @erc247

I'm in the process of making a new set of stained glass panels for the interior set of French doors to my house. I hastily made a set when we first moved in to replace a plastic set that replaced the original beveled etched glass set that had been broken some time in the past before we bought our house. Since I took my time making the kitchen transom window a few years ago, I have been feeling like the doors need something on par with that. So, I got all the pieces cut out, and now I'm grinding them to clean up the edges and then the copper foiling can begin!
