this shoot was an ode to becoming.

a moment to reflect on my growth as a woman and as a human being. to remember where i came from, honor everything it took to get here, and look proudly at the woman i’m becoming.

softness and femininity were at the center of the visual direction for this shoot. i wanted everything to feel ethereal, delicate, and almost otherworldly. the @alglist gown immediately felt like the perfect foundation for that vision. the silhouette, the movement, the softness; it gave me the femininity i wanted to embody.

i created the custom libra headpiece myself, inspired by doja cat’s iconic libra “you right” music video look.

i also envisioned the jewelry bringing everything together, but unfortunately the pieces i selected never made it to me( curse you, janky Depop seller 😭 your karma is coming!), but of course, i made it work anyway.

for the makeup, i wanted to capture the feeling of blooming into the woman i am now. something soft, feminine, luminous, and transformative, like watching a flower slowly open. @struckbya.star understood the assignment completely and brought that vision to life better than i could have imagined.

ultimately, this shoot was about more than how i looked. it was about being able to look at myself and recognize the distance i’ve traveled.

this look was SO fun to create! @j_a_t_a_a_ told me he birthday theme was rockstar glam and i said say less! she came with the hair inspo, and from there i knew wanted to build something that felt like a modern Bratz rock angel! 🪽🎸

one of my favorite parts of styling is finding those pieces that make the whole look feel more intentional. key tip: SHOP DEPOP + THRIFT. seriously. some of my favorite styling finds have come from online secondhand and digging through thrift bins!🤭 by @ereheditorial

SUGAR THRILLZ 🫧🍬

@virgoat.dizz had already created the sweetest, most whimsical, maximalist vision for her birthday shoot,
but something was missing.

for this project, i help her bridge the gap between her envisioned look and the finished story, with accessories that made everything feel intentional and cohesive. 🫧

the fur bolero (which im loving right now) and the maximalist button jewelry added those extra little accents that pulled this sugary sweet look together and gave it the cohesion it was missing. 🎀
