A wonderful show by Roots 'N' Wings choir in Vancouver led by Dawn Pemberton. An intriguing set of songs in the theme of women and our many lived experiences as women. The all female group of warm, supportive, and joyful energies made me feel pretty cool again to be a girl! I especially loved the choral rendition of Lianne La Havas' What You Don't Do. A great show! by @eri.kiku

Feeling gateful and honored to sing Raise Hawaiki, Hokule'a, the full Symphonic performance, on April 19th. From January to April, the choir and Hawai's Symphony Orchestra prepared and presented the original piece. So cool that the composer, his mentors, the Hawai'i Voyaging Society, the local community and my friends, were there at the Blaisdell Concert hall. Seriously moving to see how composer, Michael Thomas Foumai, conductor Francesco Lecce-Chong and choral conductor, Josh Habermann looked out to the audience, proud. For me, I got to learn from (and laugh with!) these great musicians for 4 months.

I couldn't have made it to all the rehearsals without my hanai family and friends helping care for baby Ryu. Angie, Rachelle + Teta Nena + the Moi family, Celeste+EJ, auntie Tricia, Nellie, and of course, dad. My family away from home 🌺 And for the friends who came from far to watch the show!! 🧡 I know baby Ryu can't read this, but thanks anyways for trusting mama would be back on Monday nights 😘 by @eri.kiku

Even after singing with this fantastic choir for Winter season, I am constantly WOWED by the quality of singing from my fella singers. We will be presenting Hokule'a, Raise Hawaiki, in April with the Hawai'i Symphony Orchestra. My dream of singing with a symphony is becoming true! So excited! 🎶🥰🧸🎶 I wonder how bebe Ryu will take it. I'm sure it'll be awesome listening while being held by dad for the entire concert 🪽🪽

It's tickle time on his new teddy bear carpet 🧸🧸🧸 I cherish the connections on this furry surface with bebe every day. His cackling laughter will always be in sound in my distant memory. Waking up to his soft and warm cheeks is a kinda unforgettable ☺️
