MARCH TO THE UN

On Thursday, September 24th, New York City will take to the streets and march to the gates of the UN to reject war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu and the genocidal Zionist project. We will meet at Bryant Park and head to the UN to demonstrate that people of conscience will not sit idly by while a war criminal attempts to normalize his crimes before the UN.
Zionism and war criminals have no place in our city.

🗓️ Thu, September 24th

📍Starting at Bryant Park

⏰ 4PM

September 1st 2025 - unofficial launch

The night of the official launch there was a bad storm. As much as we did not want to wait, we ended up delaying our launch by a day. We had over 550 people on boats, many were not sailors nor had even been on a boat before. So, late in the day on the 1st we launched... into a bad storm. I stayed awake a good portion of the night. Our spare jerry cans were tied up on the deck, but we still had a diesel spill. @a.tribu threw on his safety vest and dealt with that and rigging issues while I manned the helm. We also lost a radar reflector and a wooden bench seat. I wish I pulled my phone out more but I was usually busy, we definitely had 30+ knot winds, maybe more. Two of our passengers had never sailed and developed sea sickness, one of which suffered all the way to Tunis. I think everyone got thrown off their beds at least once. I had taken a nap in the cockpit while Andrea was steering and at some point I was thrown off. Somehow @christiankobluk was able to cook dinner despite being sick. I had the pleasure of pumping out the bathroom bilge by hand throughout the night, such an honor. That's the moon setting not the sun. I went to sleep shortly after to be ready to assess the damage and work needed to be done the next day

@odalycormac with a mysterious box, couldn't have been aid because I heard we didn't have any

31st of August 2025 - @globalsumudflotilla launch event.

I'm pretty sure I finally got to sleep around 4:30. Me and a few others worked throughout the night while people were sleeping like they should have been. In the morning we'd sail to Barcelona's main port for the event. Speeches, crowds, chanting, flags, concerts, food, solidarity, plus boxes of humanitarian aid, imagine that.

With @a.tribu @odalycormac @robert.murphy.5036 and so many other exceptional people.

A year ago I was already in Barcelona for a week preparing boats for the #globalsumudflotilla. On this day we were doing final sea trials and working all night continuing to get everything ready. At this point I had barely done any work on my own boat La Pinya, I had been busy the whole week installing cameras and making sure people's internet was going to work, fixing people's electrical issues, and in general doing whatever had to be done. While I was ignoring my boat, fellow crew members emptied and cleaned the diesel tank by hand and got stranded at night during a sea trial for which I was lucky enough to go out in a dingy in choppy waters and help with the rescue. But I got La Pinya's extra batteries installed, which is not something I can say about our solar panel or power for our camera. And yes, I drilled that hole in the box with the batteries still there.
