ERIC LACAN is part of KNOTENPUNKT26

Eric Lacan first gained attention in the late 2000s under the pseudonym “Monsieur Qui” with his black-and-white paste-ups and paintings on the streets of Paris.

At the center of his work are mysterious female portraits that move between elegance, melancholy, and subtle social critique. Tangled hair, plants, flowers, and scratched words come together to form complex and often dark visual worlds.

In the studio, Lacan continues this distinctive aesthetic through drawing, painting, and intricate paper-cut works. His precise black-and-white compositions echo the visual language of historical engravings while creating an atmosphere that is both poetic and unsettling.
