I bid adieu to the summer break, as I go back to opera work tomorrow. August, you were demanding, even at times, cruel, with an ER scare with my tumors/cysts, to financial stress with my separation + legal fees thinking I’d lose my home, to the awful developments of my father’s hallucinations (which I suspect is dementia - who is suppose to be looking after my mother with dementia). Despite my burdens, I can still say I laughed the hardest, I loved the longest, and shared my favourite times with great food and better company.

To all the dogs I so dearly love in my exclusive pack: you breathe purpose into my life. Thank you for saving me. There’s no way I would be standing if it weren’t for the joys of dogs I get to care for. taken in Toronto, Ontario by @ericabiko

June 15th Film Premiere @revuecinema of SWEAT

2 years ago, I stepped in the role of “Worker 3” having already known the score from a 2016 Workshop but as “The Overseer”. I knew I had to be part of this film project knowing it would be under the direction and vision of @geoffreysirett + @jennifernichols_dance

I learned a lot about myself, taking this score into the sound studios, then filming it under hard conditions that worked against my vocal instrument with extreme allergies. But I love this cast and crew and would do it all again in a heartbeat.🫶🏻

It took a lot of heartache and healing, but I can confidently say, I’ve finally learned not to let my past define me, and to move forward loving myself first. I always knew this day would come (seeing the light at the end of the tunnel) but I certainly underestimated my strength and vulnerability.

Of course, none of this healing, dealing with my divorce, would have been made possible without those strong examples of love I witnessed through my chosen family. I am ever grateful and will never forget every gesture of love where you reached out to show me your care. 💗 I am alive because of you all.

My January when NOT in rehearsal or costume! 😁 My skin’s been so much happier as I cut out red meat, and been spinning 🚴 almost every day!

1.) Tatcha Japanese gift wraps turn into scarves for the boys before I don’t see them for a whole month 😭

This was my December - the hardest mentally, but overcame the biggest hurdles which stripped me raw and gave me a great start to the new year.

1.) Entered a dog holiday costume competition that we ended up winning! @eastsideeventsto 🥳 @christianeinto Still waiting on a follow up!

2.) My therapy @dollfactorybydamzels and the fabulous Kelly! #shoplocal

3.) Ditched all the old ornaments and made something new as my first holiday as a single gal! ☺️

4.) Post date smiles. The boys are always relieved when I come home… alone 😝

5.) My gal @lilmsfrugalto got us a set of girls for my poodle tchotchke collection! 😚

6.) Cousin @nahnevertooold + her boys - making new holiday traditions! Had a successful cook off of delicious food!

7.) a first! not having anything resembling a 🎄- so I assembled one of my dog packs as my memorable 2023 tree 😊

8.) getting into the routine of sweating every day! Spin.co has me hooked!

9.) Serenading my boy, who initially was singing along but this time, he listened.
