*NOT PROMOTING VIOLENCE *Since middle school, I was labeled the “fat girl.” A group of girls followed me home, broke my glasses, and got into fights with me.

That event changed me, and I couldn’t let it go until I fought them one-on-one, every week, at the playground near my home in the Bronx. Eventually, all five girls realized it was wrong, and they came to apologize to me as a group! When I started at a new school, things didn’t get better, and I found myself fighting several times.I was suspended my first week of Hugh school because a girl thought it was cute to say, “Your mom doesn’t love you” in front of the class.

I later joined the NYPD explorer program and military academy, where I learned the power of self-defense and discipline. Although I avoid confrontations and encourage using words first, I advocate for defending yourself when necessary! As a teacher, I urge parents to enroll their children in defensive classes and work together to make the world a better place. I’ve experienced domestic violence personally and learned that being able to defend oneself is essential, regardless of gender! by @ericabrandwein

This weekend my client invited me to teach my business model
at Delaware Valley University 🎓

On how I started my business at 17
and used the power of social media
to build my own clients, customers, and confidence

How I turned marketing into not just something I do
but something I teach as a full-time strategist and coach

Now I’m building a team to lead and grow
and honestly… I couldn’t imagine this moment years ago

Not because I couldn’t do it
but because of how much noise I let in from others

I was a special education student
and they said I’d never “make it”

They were right about one thing…
I wasn’t the smartest in the room

But I was the one who knew what she wanted
and never let a degree or opinion stop me

This one’s for every child
who was put in a box
because they didn’t fit society’s definition of “smart”

FAILURE is the only way you learn. Founders every setback, every slow day, every moment you felt behind was shaping the version of you that refuses to quit. Nobody talks about the mornings where motivation is low, the nights where doubt is loud, or the days where progress feels invisible but that’s where champions are built.

Success isn’t loud at first. It’s quiet. It’s repetitive. It’s showing up when nobody is clapping. It’s choosing discipline over comfort and consistency over excuses. You don’t wake up confident -you earn it by doing the work even when fear is present.

This journey isn’t about keeping up with anyone else. It’s you vs. you. The old habits, the old mindset, the old comfort zone. Every day you’re deciding whether you’ll stay who you were or become who you said you wanted to be. Comparison will distract you, but self-discipline will transform you.

This journey will test your patience, your mindset, and your belief in yourself. You’ll fall. You’ll question if it’s worth it. You’ll wonder if you’re moving fast enough. But one day you’ll look back and realize every delay was preparing you for the version of yourself strong enough to handle what you prayed for.

What’s meant for you will meet you when you’re ready to hold it.Until then, stay focused, stay hungry, and stay committed to the vision, even on the days it feels far away.
