Growing up in Aboadze, a small fishing community in Takoradi, Ghana 🇬🇭, and then spending decades in Europe, I’ve experienced both the beauty and the struggles of different worlds. I know what it’s like to grow up in a tough environment, navigate multicultural spaces, face difficult situations, and overcome family challenges. These experiences have shaped my deep desire to truly listen to people—their journeys, their struggles, and their triumphs.

That’s why The Chill Seat was born. A space where voices matter, where authenticity reigns, and where stories unfold without interruption. I’ve always been passionate about highlighting rising entrepreneurs, artists, and creators—giving them a platform to share not just their successes but the untold stories behind their journeys.

Seeing people Developing and transforming is a core PURPOSE for me, which I passionately and confidently pursue it everyday. Since covid 19 I have not been able to travel much or be into any people gathering events, but one thing that covid 19 couldn’t change was my desire to learn, and to pursue knowledge, understanding and wisdom in the areas of personal, leadership, relationships, family, success, business, and etc. despiste to all challenges and failure in accomplishing personal goals, I have learned, relearned, and grow, And worked hard to deliver great insights on effective living in the coming years through books, conferences, teaching, podcasting, church events and etc. Looking forward to harvest all the opportunities of these seeds of hard work and commitment been sown these years. 👑💡💡🎥❤️ by @ericackon_official

I usually ask my guests on The Chair Seat this question, but today I’m answering it myself.

What relationship has shaped you the most?

For me, it was my uncle, Kojo Awotwi (Lucky Dubai). Growing up in a fishing community in Ghana, I spent years by his side watching him lead, coordinate, solve problems, and create opportunities for others. I didn’t realize it then, but he was shaping how I see work, leadership, service and even hustle.

Looking back, I can see so much of who I am today in the lessons I learned simply by following him around.

🎙️ “Sometimes the greatest victories happen long before the final whistle.”

Today, we had the privilege of welcoming @mahheeid to The Chill Seat.
Professional footballer ⚽️ born in Sweden, raised in Nyköping, and a whose journey has taken him across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Most proudly, he’s represented the Palestine National Team 🇵🇸 on the international stage, not only playing for a nation, but carrying a story, an identity, and a purpose much greater than football.

One thing Mahmoud shared that stayed with me was:

“I wanted people to see that Palestine is more than war. It’s about people.” 🇵🇸❤️
