83kg Advanced Bracket this weekend at @adcc_official Atlanta‼️First ADCC in the books! 🙌🏾

Ended up losing 3-0 in the semi finals against the no.1 seed. Final day went 3-2 both losses coming by under 3 points. I’m overall happy with my performance but continue to believe more and more in the potential that I have to be one of the greatest in the world. I work hard and give 110% everytime I step on the mats not because I think I’m the greatest or best, but it’s the opposite and simply because of the doubt I have in myself and wanting to make sure I’m capable to give all I have.

Finished 5th out of 22, and 100% confident the bracket could’ve been mine. But lesson learned and on to the next‼️

Huge shoutout to @llcooljiujitsu @trapplegate10p and @alabamatwisters squad for cornering me and leading me to 3 dubs and 2 subs back to back 🙌🏾 and to @kierrana7 for being my support system and personal massage therapist and camera man😘🤣

#BLESSED

A lot of mixed emotions about yesterday. Think I will always expect more out of myself no matter what. But I am truly happy that I was able to get out there and prove that I can compete and be on the mats with some of the best in the world. So much I need to work on and learn from this experience but it marks one of the best in my life. For everyone supporting and rooting for me seriously thank yall for everything and all the encouraging words!! I wanted to get the W’s for yall so that sucks. But it’s all humbling and fueling.. Thank you @alabamatwisters for giving me the opportunity to show what I’m capable of on the mats, and @pgfworld for the amazing platform! Also my wife , mom, dad, brother , family and friends for all the support yall fuel me to keep going.. @brandonmc.ninja more than thankful for you for giving me this opportunity to compete in this league, hope yall enjoyed me! Was an Honor sharing the mats with @cam_x_hurd @derek_rayfield @officer_grimy all DOGS and much respect for them wouldn’t have asked to have my first 3 matches to be against any other 3 haha 🙌🏾

I’m beyond proud of my two oldest sons Eli and Eziah.

Eli took 2nd in No gi and Third in Gi!!!

He lost 2-0 in the finals and was seconds away from the sub to win it all.

At 7 Eziah went against 11 and 12 year olds due to how big he is for his age and had no fear at all as well as scored points on a Grey belt with only months of training. Watching them love the sport I love,being able to be in their corner and coach them is an amazing feeling. They have amazing coaches and teammates at @mushin_bjj_academy that helped them get prepared and have instilled a lot of progress in them. Yall watch out for them Allen Boys, because they’re coming for Gold next time 😎🙌🏾✊🏾
