Our baby is one!

She's travelled to the ocean, the swamp, and the desert and met her family.

She has two teeth, dances, watches birds, waves at dogs, and loves to see our surprised faces when we find her hiding.

A year ago, we didn't know her and a year from now we'll know her and her sibling—what a trip! So much love. by @ericashmoney

As we enter day 25 of the Horseshoe Casino strike, I want to just say how proud I am of @unionforeverdixienever.

He puts everything he has into the workers he's fighting alongside and is able to balance that with being a present father and husband. There is no confusing the passion, discipline, and thoughtfulness he brings to making sure these workers win all that can be won for themselves and their families.

Isa and I are out on the strike line everyday, and the workers have adopted both of us alongside Dave as part of their family. They've offered to hold her and watch her to give us a break, brought her toys and winter gear, and even helped make up a tiny picket sign 🪧

She experienced her first snow last night as we continue to hold the line in rain, wind, and snow.

I am so grateful for the support we've had and how much care our communities have shown for us and for these striking workers 🩷

As we continue to fight our charges, we need your help to continue to put pressure on Emory and the Dekalb Solicitor General and District Attorney to get our charges dropped.

Call, email, submit complaints, show up and protest.

The hardest part about having a baby hasn't been the sleep deprivation or the messes or the fearing for her future—it's been having a happy, healthy, safe baby while seeing so much death and destruction in Palestine.

Hearing her momentary cries for hunger while I get a bottle together, my mind flashes to this Palestinian man saying the bombs aren't what's keeping him awake anymore, but rather the sound of the hungry babies screaming.

The other day I was hanging white curtains in my kitchen, and I put cloth over her stroller while I was getting the tools ready. When I looked back and saw her stroller covered in a white cloth, I couldn't help the tears. The children covered in white cloths. Brown blood soaked through.

Truly, the genocidal state of Israel must come to an end. by @ericashmoney
