Meet Erica. 🤍 Erica is a hip-hop dancer who recently decided to start stepping into jazz and contemporary classes. Those styles don’t come naturally to her, and this particular class was challenging.

But here’s what I love about Erica: she never comes to impress people or prove herself. She comes to glorify Jesus.

At the end of class, I invited her into the center of the room and told her she didn’t have to get the choreography right. She could change every step if she wanted to.

And that’s exactly what she did.

She didn’t perform the choreography. She simply worshiped.

Watching her surrender the need to be perfect and choose worship over performance moved me more than any perfectly executed routine ever could.

Because at the end of the day, dance is a gift. And the greatest thing we can do with that gift is give it back to the One who gave it to us. ✨
