Here to help busy women reclaim joy… in their faith and their family, and bring a little laughter.

I’ve learned not to take myself too seriously- it’s okay to mess up and make mistakes. I’ve found the One Who washes them all away.

Striving everyday to walk closer to Jesus and sharing the tools and tips I’ve learned to help you do the same. Without the guilt or shame when you don’t get it all right.

Bible studies that feel like a friend across the table cheering you on to keep believing and stay curious. Jesus has so much more to teach us.

Manasseh’s life demonstrates the old adage, “It’s not how you start but how you finish.” Today’s passage reveals that his life started out with poor choices and a proud heart, but when he humbly turned to God, everything changed.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You that when we humble ourselves before You and cry out to You for help and forgiveness, You hear us. Quick to forgive and eager to restore, You draw near to the brokenhearted and save the crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). When I find myself walking in pride or trying to do things my own way and nothing is working out, may turning to You always be my first response rather than my last resort.In Jesus’ name, amen.

What if you diligently seek God’s will and … “hear” Him wrong? Will you potentially land on a long dead end road or walk off a figurative cliff? Or potentially miss something beautiful God had planned?

Do you ever wrestle with those questions? If so, the fact that you are wrestling, and longing to live in a way that pleases Him demonstrates He has your heart. And if He has your heart you can trust Him to lead your steps. by @ericawiggenhorn

You’ve probably heard it said that God’s message and presence brings supernatural peace. People often use this sense of peace to determine if God is leading them in a particular direction.

But what if God asks you to do something uncomfortable or frightening?

What if you have generalized anxiety?

What if the internal battle still exists after you give God your yes?

My biggest concern with how we (the big C global church) handle these things is we often want to take one verse plucked from Scripture and give it broad, universal meaning. Ignoring nuance and often literary and historical context.

As my latest Faith Over Fear guest stated in this episode, the disciples still feared they were going to die—when Jesus was with them.

I’m not saying God never grants peace when we live aligned with Him and His will. I am saying, however, that it can be dangerous and self-defeating to interpret what we “hear” through how we feel.

And this is doubly true for those with enduring anxiety. by @ericawiggenhorn

Some weekends become memories you carry for the rest of your life… this was one of them. 🤍🍂

I’ve been coming to Lost Canyon for women’s retreats for 13 years, and this weekend felt so special. It felt like God protected every moment and met each of us right where we were. There were tears, so much laughter, prayers spoken through trembling voices, and chains broken in Jesus’ name.

I am so grateful for the women’s ministry at Mission Church and the incredible leadership who poured their hearts into making this retreat happen. Every prayer, every detail, every hour spent preparing… you created space for women to feel loved, let their walls down, and draw closer to Jesus. What you do matters more than you know.

There was something so beautiful about deepening friendships I’ve treasured for years while making room in my heart for new ones. Sharing our stories, praying over one another, and realizing we don’t have to carry the hard things alone… that is the gift of sisterhood.

Erika Wiggenhorn’s teaching touched my heart so deeply, and the worship was incredible. Add in the crisp mountain air and those fall colors I look forward to every single year… my heart is so full. These are memories I will cherish forever. 🍁

If you’ve ever thought about coming but felt nervous because you wouldn’t know anyone, consider this your invitation to come with me next year. You don’t have to have it all together. Come as you are… there is a place for you with us.
