0° superheat — TXV was feeding too much.
Adjusted the valve, recovered some charge, and brought SH back up.

2 year old compressor already failed. 35 amps, out on thermal, compression ratio 1.96. Wasn’t pumping.

454B TXV flooding the compressor.
Airflow was high, superheat sat at O.
Iced the bulb and it jumped to 20. Put it back on the line and it went right back to dumping liquid

No cool.
Blower motor was dead so I replaced it.
Then found the bypass stuck wide open ton dumping air — forced it closed.
Checked airflow after... 1960 CFM on a 4 ton.
Dropped it to 1610/1555 so the coil can actually work. #hvactechnician #subcool #Superheat #hvac #pov by @erichvacguy

These Carrier A2L 454B sensors and boards are always going bad. Replaced the bad sensor then checked the entire unit for proper operation. Pressures, temps, and airflow all good after the swap. #HVAC #HVACTech #subcool #Superheat #POV by @erichvacguy

Homeowner said the unit would run for about 30 minutes, shut off, come back on a couple minutes later, run another 10, then shut off again… short cycling and not cooling right.
Sensing bulb wasn’t properly secured on the suction line and airflow was off. Got the bulb seated right and set airflow to 371 CFM per ton from 466.
