"Where the Music Meets the Bay" is my final piece for @downtowncorpuschristi!

This was one of the absolute best experiences painting. Beyond getting to paint such a perfect wall alongside legends/friends @ivanjroque @kiptoe1 and @_krystalcooke, the incredible @downtowncorpuschristi team putting everything they had into this for the love of where they live, the legend @thedaskone @cre8iveculturellc helping bring it all to life, all of the amazing parts of their home they shared with us, the overwhelming support and excitement from everyone that came by during and after the painting, my dad and brother making the trip, and getting waves in Texas, I am so grateful to have had this experience with everyone to leave this piece in Corpus Christi and will be absolutely carrying this inspiration with me.

My final piece from @midxmidwst - one of the best times ever! So happy with this one to lean more into making things in my world and because I had no idea when I sent this concept months ago that there was a sunflower field less than a block from the wall - I lost it when I found it walking around the first night!

Thanks so much @megwagler_illustration for all the work you did to make this happen - getting to be any part of the impact you're making is an honor!! Met so many incredible people like @houstonhands @shannonjoy.art and everyone working together to show everyone else see how cool their home can be.

Also was the greatest time hanging and painting with @sub_urban_warrior @beautyfromlight @megwagler_illustration @anthroe @steventellerarts @alexandriaolivia @itraicons @fishboi_art felt like we were a big family. Can't wait for the next one but this experience might not be topped for awhile it was so good! taken in Springfield, Missouri by @erickarbeling

Beyond excited to share the final piece that I painted with @jacksoren @dev.vision and @thehelm.studio in Wahiawa this weekend!! Can't say enough of how amazing it is to have met them through @distantcollabs back in March and to bring it full circle with this mural. Having some friends here right from the start has made this move feel so much easier, especially since they couldn't be more welcoming.

Inspired by all the insane natural beauty, I wanted to tie the mural into it's surroundings with some green and include a bird of paradise flower I'd seen on hikes here. Talking with @jacksoren and @dev.vision, we figured it could be a perfect collab to be looking through the plants to one of @jacksoren's iconic surfing scenes, since a lot of people pass through Wahiawa on the way to the North Shore, and @dev.vision's squiggles would be perfect to add bold definition and contrast throughout the piece to break up my madness and tie it all together.

Also, major thanks to @troyboyy and @whosmat from @thehelm.studio for everything - was amazing to feel like part of a team painting this one!

41 miles of fun yesterday at @officialmolokaihoe with @waimanalocanoeclub. Beyond grateful to have gotten to do this insane undertaking with all these legends and thankful for everything about the experience and for everyone that has helped make it happen. by @erickarbeling

Honored to have the opportunity to paddle in the @officialmolokaihoe with @waimanalocanoeclub on Sunday and take on the 41 miles of the kaiwi channel together. Everyone’s trained all year to make this happen and share in this major undertaking and the history of the race.

There is some incredible footage of past years on YouTube that tell the story of the sport and the race and I included them here to best share how wild it is - these are from the 1985 race.

The race will be broadcast live via @khonnews and you can track the boat live via @officialmolokaihoe - we’re boat #10.

Incredible time getting to race with @waimanalocanoeclub in the Henry Ayau race this year (25 miles from waimanalo to mauliola/sand island). I’m really grateful to them trusting me to jump in at the last minute and the boat felt wayy better than I thought it might considering it was my first time paddling with them and huge conditions at many parts of the race.

Feels great to keep learning and adding more experiences of new ways to develop on the water and adds a new level of assurance to my training so far.

Been too long since I painted in the park so kept it much looser and played around a lot more mixing the colors and really happy with how it turned out. First time using goache too so had no expectations but excited where it landed.

Amazing time yesterday paddling 23 miles from Kailua to Waikiki with @koakaicanoeclub. Honored to have the opportunity and to be able to take on these adventures together to experience the island and get to know the ocean this way, the conditions were wild for the first half and the videos really don’t do it justice.

Stoked to share that I designed the shirt and poster for tonight’s @goosetheband show at @frostamphitheater! They’ll be available at the show tonight and I’ll have copies of the poster sometime next week once they make their way across the pacific.

There’s a pretty great backstory to how this came to be that I’ll share in way more detail soon. taken in Stanford, California by @erickarbeling

Wow what a trip - still can’t quite believe it. So thankful to the @vecindadmurales team - @versatyledavi @patrizziaminardi
@yetseronack @elgallomorales @chettomr @carmen_de_la_cadenita @toska47 @poinci.navarro and everyone else I met for the greatest time ever, making me part of the family, and being open to wanting to do every activity possible, and to get to paint and hang with @ekosaurio @dinho_bento @inga.trece @atentamenteunafresa. And got some amazing family time in before heading back to Hawaii.

Here’s something from each day so I don’t forget it.

2. @vecindadmurales opening party
3. Day 1 - Walked all over exploring in the morning, got a jersey, and went to watch the game in the middle of the city.
3. Day 2 - started painting & ran in Parque xicotencatl
4. Day 3 - painted and went to luchador wrestling at night and other bars
5. Day 4 - ran in vivero coyoacan and painted more
6. Day 5 - Woke up very early for sunrise kayaks in xochimilco
7. Day 5 - it was incredible and so lucky to do it. Managed to pick up my stuff for the half marathon in the city after.
8. Day 6 - tour of all the murals
9. Day 6 - finishing up painting
10. Day 7 - ran the cdmx half marathon! Phone died after and figured out the metro to get home.
11. Day 7 - partying with everyone after
12. Day 8 - teotihuacan
13. Day 9 - last day took it easy and had to get one last order of tacos ( I went pretty much everyday)
14. Final pictures and flew to dc next day
15. Day 11 - gym with my dad
16. Day 12 - philli museum with Adam
17. Day 12 - swinging by Jared’s on the way to New York
18. Day 13 - going all over New York with the whole family - the met, World Cup madness in time square, and broadway show by @erickarbeling
