Did you know that painting for artists is the equivalent of very expensive therapy 🤣🎨

Some people meditate. Some people journal. Some people take long peaceful walks and process their emotions like functioning adults.

I paint. 😂

There’s something about sitting down with watercolor and putting whatever is going on in my head onto paper that completely changes my mood. Stress, frustration, overthinking, bad days — eventually it all ends up somewhere in one of my sketchbooks.

And if I’m going to emotionally unload onto paper, apparently I require 600 GSM / 300 lb, 100% cotton watercolor paper. I have standards. 🤣

That’s why I keep reaching for my Luchetti watercolor sketchbook. The heavyweight cotton paper handles my watercolor washes and layers, and the true lay-flat, zero-gutter design means I can paint an entire two-page spread without losing my artwork in that annoying ditch down the middle.

At this point, flipping through my sketchbook is basically flipping through months of emotions, ideas, memories, experiments and moments when painting was exactly what I needed.

So no, I don’t needed the best sketchbook.

But considering the alternative…

I think we can all agree buying more art supplies is really just me doing my part for society. 🤣
