One of my favorites from the Faroe Islands, Trolkonufingur, the troll's finger aka, the witch's finger.
The name isn't really in keeping with the Christmas season but it's one I wanted to share.

This unique formation along the sea cliffs on The island of Vagar stands around 900 ft!

If you take a close look at the shot there's a boat, lower right, and houses between the finger and the boat give you an idea of its grandeur.

Misty morning.

Driving through areas of fog, I was hoping it hadn't lifted from this spot yet.
It didn't last much longer, enough to take in the atmosphere there and get the shot.

Something for the foreground too✔️
A shot for waterfall Wednesday ✔️

Hidden wonder

Winters touch on a waterfall hidden inside of a mountain.
Crampons would have made this a little less challenging but at least it was out of the wind.

Moody morning

One of my favorite shots from Snaefellsnes
It was the first stop that morning, wanting to arrive before there were others checking out the sights on the peninsula.
I couldn't have gotten better conditions for the subject, the famed black church.

Behind the curtain
Thank you to those who patiently waited behind me while I took this shot.
A mixture of light and shadow behind a thin curtain of water.

Waking up
There is something special about watching the world come alive when you are down by the water.
A few more clouds would have been nice but it's always an awesome experience.
The little bit of wave made it worth it as sun was coming up and illuminating the waves and rock along the shore.

Just part of the landscape
The not so noticeable aspects of nature that we walk past without notice.
Something new for my photography.

After waking up late and arriving at my destination too late for sunrise, I was happy to find this composition.
Not bad for being a slacker that day.

The storms end
I wasn't quite sure the sun was going to make an appearance after a heavy rain storm
I'm so glad I waited 🌅.
