Today was a GOOD hair day. 💛💙

Spent the day at Watercolor Salon learning all things Elevated Styling with the incredibly talented Char from Houston @bookingwithchar and Milbon! ✂️

Getting to play, try new techniques, ask questions, and add a few more tricks to the toolbox is exactly why I love days like this. The more I learn about this industry, the more I realize how much there is to learn and I’m here for ALL of it. 🙌🏼

Big thanks to Char for bringing the knowledge (and the energy!) from Houston to Mississippi. 🫶🏼

My friend Bella Dewitt gave me my first pair of professional hair-cutting shears. It’s such a thoughtful gift, and honestly, it caught me off guard.

I’ve spent a lot of my life pouring myself into theatre, and stepping into cosmetology has been both exciting and humbling. Starting over in a new field isn’t always easy, but little moments like this remind me that I’m surrounded by people who believe in me, even on the days I’m still figuring things out.

Bella, thank you for your generosity, your friendship, and for believing in me enough to invest in this new chapter. I’ll think of you every time I pick these shears up.

Tonight, I had the opportunity to experience Pearl Community Theatre’s new Studio PCT space, and I have to tell you…it is something special.

If you’ve only ever seen productions on a traditional stage, this is an entirely different experience. The audience is just feet away from the actors. Every laugh, every awkward moment, every heartfelt conversation lands in a way that’s impossible to replicate in a larger venue.

Five Women Wearing the Same Dress is the perfect production to christen this new space. Funny, sharp, heartfelt, and wonderfully acted, it showcases exactly what intimate theatre can be.

More importantly, this production marks an exciting new chapter for Pearl Community Theatre. Community theatre isn’t about buildings…it’s about people who refuse to stop creating. Seeing audiences gather in this new home reminded me why local theatre matters so much.

There are only a few performances remaining, and seating is limited. If you’re looking for a unique night out and want to support local arts, I encourage you to check it out.

Congratulations to everyone involved with this production and to Pearl Community Theatre on the opening of Studio PCT. Here’s to many stories yet to be told.

As I sit here awaiting the removal of the very expensive and unnecessary graffiti from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, I’m reminded of the time I was able to visit and enjoy such an incredible institution. by @erickjulian

A huge thank you to my former students, Kaylee and Kaleb, for coming out to see Ragtime! It always means so much to have former students supporting me. My parents also saw the show this evening. It was a great show. New Stage Theatre does wonderful theatre. by @erickjulian
